This story is just as full of passion, mystery, happiness, and sexy times as book one and the chemistry between Gabe and Josh continues to grow and burn like an inferno. In addition, there is exceptional character growth for both of our guys as they settle into happiness with each other and their posse of pets. I enjoyed this story because we get to see our two guys grow as individuals and as a couple. It makes their story all the more happy, for me..when I get to see it.
The mystery in this story was slightly easier to guess but still well written. I am not telling what happens or who is involved, you gotta read it!
For us cover lovers, again - this cover is to DIE for - drool worthy and the men on the front are perfect representations of Gabe and Josh.
I recommend this story and series. A true success for Ms. Walker!
5 Stars! And as Savage would say "Big Daddy is in the House"
One of the reviewer's of the first book said that he/she hated cliffhangers, I have to disagree because each of the stories has a HEA for Gabe and Josh, while one of the mysteries is solved while leading into another mystery for Gabe and his police partner Adrian. I love these stories -- so well written!
In this one another terrible murder kicks off the action, and while it is integral to the development of the plot (as are several other incidents and crimes), what stands out here once again is a beautifully developed relationship between Gabe and Josh.
Told in alternative first-person chapters, you get all the insights, phobias and angst of each man without being bludgeoned with "OMG moments." Indeed, most of the "moments" are either heartwarming, or down right funny.
Ironically, what happens on the first page of the book is integral to how the last page plays out--and whets your whiskers for the first page in the next book.
I like these guys, I liked this book more than the first, and I am set to order the next one. Word of caution: They must be read in order.
How long do I have to wait for the next book... Argh!!!
This is a continuation from 'Dyeing to be Loved' which sets us on a path of mystery, intrigue and a beautiful budding romance between a snarky hairdresser with a really bad attitude (at times) and a sexy cop. I loved the banter and witty parley between Josh and Gabe and let's not forget the sex, it was hot and descriptive, without being over the top. Now to the sub story, what the? I have to wait for the next book to find out what's going on, are you kidding me right now. There is something building, and I secretly love the suspense, just not sure how long I have to wait to see how it pans out. Please hurry Aimee...
