This is the third album from this band and they do not break stride. The Wretched are a polished death metal force to be wreckoned with. They are excellent songwriters who weave various musical styles and vocals into their deathmetal attack. DO NOT OVERLOOK OR UNDERESTIMATE THIS BAND! Best American death metal out there in my opinnion. You'll have to listen for yourself to know. Like most greatness, it's almost impossible to pin down with words.

Awesome band. The band has improved as a whole on this album. The vocals are f***ing scary. The guitar work is intricate, brutal, heavy and just technically awesome. Ahhhhhhhhh! The instrumental songs are great. If you're looking for a great technical melodic death metal album this is it.

This is a little twisted version of the status que; in what is modern They remind me of Enfold Darkness, in fact. A british deat metal band, harder than Cradle Of Filth, though Enfold Darkness is lighter than most of what comes out of, let's mention metal blade, to juctapose it against a nearly unknown label, sumerian 'which is where you'll find Enfold Darkness'. They attempted to validate this Cradle of Filth approach at the beggining of the album, with choruses and piano. Then go into their own thing. I'm not certain they even know what there sound is. It is varied, I tell you that. If they have matured, within the last few years, from something on the satelite radio which I have noted I would never listen to, to what they are today; they have great potential. I know, it's not my place to tell a mainstream band where it's heading with it's sound. Unfortunately, I must inform you that it's just typical. And I can see how they'd be touring with big bands. This Death Metal is mostly just what the typical, unrefined, individual would go for. I personally would attempt, at least, to look into other less known acts. It's just a gateway to a big name label. Metal Blade, Roadrunner, Nuclear Blast even. That's how I feel about this band. Sorry. All that being said, I like what I hear in spite of their over kitschy candor.
