I love the way Yvonne writes and loved the book. It should be made into a movie! Reading the next book in the series..."The Cloak of Freya". Can't wait for the third! Thank you, Yvonne! Keep up the great work!

I bought the book thinking it would be about Norse mythology. Instead, I had to spend hours reading about the characters' taste in music, their political views and what they consider to be heroic, a hunt to tame griffins that never goes anywhere and a plot that I lost before it egen started. It started out decent enough, though the dialogue between characters is juvenile at best. It then devolves into shallow conversations meant to create background and theological discussions. The author suffers from first-time-writer syndrome; I READ THIS ON WIKIPEDIA SO I MUST INCORPORATE IT IN MY BOOK EVEN IF IT DESTROYS THE FLOW OF THE NARRATIVE.

I wanted to like this book since it advertised itself as a book with Norse mythology, but it wasn't worth the 1 dollar+something I paid for it.

My advice to the author would be to read more books and to ask someone to go through the plot before they start writing their next book. It sounds harsh, but an editor is the best tool a writer can ask for.
