It's really nice the hummers have a spot to sit and sip. I was hoping more than one would dine at a time, but the ones in my yard turn out to be just as territorial as the other birds. So it's just one at a time so far, with the occasional brief standoff. The larger capacity is also nice (vs. your basic planter tube...), though given how often the nectar needs to be replaced (at least in warmer weather), don't think I'd ever fill all the way. I'm also not sure the weight of a fully-filled feeder would be supported by the window holder. I do wish placement of the feeding ports accounted better for window proximity; as it is, at least one of the ports is unusable given how close it sits to the window. Tho as noted, there's not really more than one hummer on-site at a time... I'm not crazy about the enormous-bird shape; would prefer a basic cylinder, as the bulky shape can block the view of the birds as well as just being basically awkward looking. From most practical standpoints, tho, it doesn't matter much. The unit is well-constructed and easy to use. While it doesn't seem super-durable, it does the job fine here and is the best value I could find.

Wonderful Feeder - Brings the Hummers Right to the Window

This is the neatest little feeder; the hummers love it.

We have half a dozen nectar feeders around the yard, and I thought it would be fun to bring them in close to the kitchen window. I bought this feeder and hung it on the awning next to the window, so I can't speak to the suction cup holder.

It is a joy to watch the hummers buzz in and out just inches from us. I don't like shooting pictures through glass windows, but we have taken some amazing shots of the birds perched on this feeder.

I have to tell you, my wife opens the window and tips the feeder occasionally to free any air bubbles in the bottom, which she does to all the nectar feeders. As she was touching the feeder, a hummer landed on her finger. After it flew off, you'd have thought she'd been shot the way she hollered! She was so excited. It happened again later, and I managed to get a picture of her with one on her finger. (Disclaimer: You may have different results.)

I decided to try this feeder a year ago because it was less than ten dollars and it looked cute although I read many negative reviews of the bottom falling out. Well mine has not fallen out and hummer love it. I was pleasantly surprised with the little window hanger the feeder comes with. I am able use the hanger with my other small feeders and if you purchase a decent quality window hanger separately, you'll tend to spend in the upwards of $10, so it was like getting the cute feeder very inexpensively. The design allows for you to attach an ant moat if needed, and the feeder is easy to clean and refill. I tend to fill the feeder only half way since I like to rotate out stale fermented nectar every 3-5 days, so I'd advise you to do the same. I'd probably purchase another one just for the sake of having another window hanger plus the backup feeder, but I have too many hummingbird feeders already...

This feeder is AWESOME. I live in Alaska, and it gets windy and cold here so suction has to be very tight for it to stay on the window...I haven't had ANY problems with it coming off or moving around too much. No problems with leaks, either!

This feeder has been such an awesome learning tool for my 2 year old; he loves watching the Hummingbirds when they show up, and we get about 10-15 coming by a day. He can see them without any problem and enjoys watching them eat.

The feeder is far enough from the window that the birds can sit on each perch independently. I absolutely LOVE this feeder and get constant compliments. My mom has a different window-mount feeder and said she is going to get this one as well because she enjoys ours so much!

If you're thinking about getting this, please do. You won't be disappointed. Price is right, and it's such an amazing thing to see nature so up-close daily.

This is a very cute feeder and the hummers do like it. Our major issue is not with the feeder, but with the large woodpeckers and other birds that come to feed from it. We cut off the little perches in order to keep the large birds off (we have other feeders with perches, so the hummers have options), but the woodpeckers have figured out how to hang on the edge, tip the feeder, and drink what spills. The hummers slip in to feed and are attracted to the feeder.
As with many other feeders, it is necessary to make sure the feeder is empty before refilling. Any residual liquid will spill when the bottom is taken off and, since the bottom is screwed on as a "top" to the body of the feeder, things can get messy with residual spilling.

I love the way this attaches and hangs from a window! Its much easier to take in and out for cleaning and filling than other window feeders that actually attach to the window and you have to slide them up and off the window. The "L" type bracket helps a great deal for easy up and down and one of my favorite features. It also cleans easy and holds plenty of juice to get me by for several days before refills are needed. I used for about half the hummingbird season/summer and had around 25-30 hummers coming at one time. I had 10 different feeders on my one window alone and a few out in the yard and the window feeders are their absolute favorite! I personally think the hummers like window feeders better..and it showed because I was filling my window feeders twice a day during our peak hummer season. They probably felt more safe/secure and also my window feeders kept them somewhat out of the weather.
A great feeder and I definately recommend to any bird lover this is a great must have feeder!
