"Darrell James demonstrates many skills in his well-crafted second novel, Sonora Crossing. The descriptive writing of place is good. The characters are well drawn, even if they aren't particularly complex. Most of all, James manages a fast plot well. Del's latest adventure is a riveting page turner. Solid characters, a great plot with surprising twists, a sinister, EVIL villain, and a chance to see Del's softer side makes for an awesome read, I couldn't put it down.
I think Darrell doesn't just have a home run here, it's a GRAND SLAM!!
