I am so happy about purchasing this sound bar. At first, I gasped at the price, but now I'm all smiles. I could never get the right balance of treble and base sounds with my previous sound bar.. I have hearing aids that I had to adjust in order to understand the words being said through the previous bar. I am 77 years old and was thrilled when this sound bar was connected and turned on that I didn't have to do anything but enjoy listening. It also doesn't require a second control in order to use it. You adjust the level of sound desired with the TV remote control. I highly recommend the purchase of this sound bar.

Great, but for the price you'd think muting after commercials would stop

The sound is great, but during/after commercials or after pausing, it often mutes itself, so I have to grab the remote, pause it, then play it again to unmute it. Very annoying, and after looking online for how to solve it, it seems to be a common problem.

*After a lot of troubleshooting, I found that using the HDMI cable that came with my Switch made it stop muting!

Holy gravy are these expensive. I wasn't sure about it but ultimately decided to go for it and I'm glad that I did. I previously had a Samsung soundbar and was still not loving how quiet it was. This provides rich sound (you can even hear the higher sounds and pitches). It's great for music or television. It's well worth the high price!

I feel like a moron. It sounded great when I tested it out at the store, and it sounded great in person, and that's what it gets right, but...

...nobody should pay this much money for a connected speaker that doesn't support Google casting. The lack of a volume indicator is personal preference but also incredibly annoying.

If this were $100 cheaper, it would be priced right.

The Sonos Beam is a very good compact soundbar that is much better than the TV speakers which is what we were looking for. However, if you have the space and the money the Sonos ARC is SIGNIFICANTLY better sounding. We have both models. The Sonos ARC is for our 75" TV in the basement while the Beam is for our 46" TV in the living room. Both are easy to set up with the Sonos App on your phone over WiFi.

Very specific use

First of all, it's not a bad product at all. My issue with the device is where you can use it, which is basically exclusively to TVs. I knew that in advance, because I did my homework and researched about this sound bar before purchasing, but still...
I got it to use with a 27" Dell monitor (no HDMI ARC) because of its size, which is almost the same as the monitor, so it would have a nice looking. And indeed it was. BUT, as you might (or should) know, there's no bluetooth available, or 3.5mm jack input, or any other analog input, but only a HDMI ARC (also a digital audio using an HDMI adapter). To workaround this, I also got a Fury Arcana to convert a regular HDMI to ARC. It did the trick. Kinda. Because Sonos will force you to connect it to a HDMI ARC tv at least once, or it won't work with Arcana. After about 3 hours of trouble (shooting), I finally got it to work. Again, the sound looks good enough for a soundbar of its size, but I'm not sure I would go over all that again only because of the appearance and size of this Sonos product. If you plan to use it with a TV, then you're probably good; but if you want to use with a monitor like me and you don't want to spend extra getting converters, then I suggest you purchasing something else. Preferable with bluetooth. You WILL miss the lack of BT

you need wifi. Prefavorably an iphone, i did not try it with android. I was going to return it since i did not have wifi but i had been meaning to get a wifi router anyway, and i ordered one and delivered overnight. Router was easy to set up and and i was able to set up beam gen 2, than i got a sonos sub mini and that made the sonos beam so much better. Its expensive, there are cheaper options but i have no complaints with sonos. If you get the beam get the sub mini its a game changer.

I received a “certified refurbished” “non-gen 2” speaker which I then needed to return. While this certainly could have been an honest mistake by Amazon or the seller (SHIPEXP), IF I hadn’t really looked closely at the box and label it might have slipped past me (until finding later the gen 2 functionality wasn’t there). The “certified refurbished” statement was in small print on one label. I decided to purchase directly from Sonos, and received a box that was very different (tan vs black and that clearly states it’s “gen 2”).

The speaker itself works great (hence still 5 stars despite having to purchase elsewhere). It works great with a new TCL TV as well as with older Sonos play 1 speakers. AirPlay support is convenient.

La Sonos Beam de segunda generación es un producto de muy buena calidad, tiene la capacidad añadida de simular Dolby Atmos (especialmente aprovechada con películas compatibles y con Xbox).
Los materiales de construcción, como es de esperar de la marca, son de excelente calidad, además de que su configuración es sumamente fácil de realizar. Para poder aprovechar al máximo sus cualidades, es necesario que tu televisor tenga eARC, de lo contrario, con ARC no podrás aprovechar todo (pero es suficiente en algunas ocasiones).

En cuanto al sonido, dependerá completamente de tu entorno. Por ejemplo, si estás en una recámara pequeña y utilizas el TruePlay (tristemente solo se puede hacer con dispositivos iOS) seguramente será suficiente para llenar tu cuarto con el sonido de las películas o videojuegos; peeeeeeero, si estás en una sala o una recámara más grande, es probable que sientas que hace falta un poco de fuerza en las frecuencias graves, por lo que sí vería necesario comprarse el Subwoofer.

En cuanto a la calidad de sonido en general es buena: diálogos bastante bien logrados, efecto de altura lo suficientemente bueno para ser una simulación y no tener parlantes apuntando hacia arriba y rebote el sonido. Cuando escuchas música se siente muy bien.

¿Qué aconsejaría yo, personalmente?
1.- Si estás en una recámara pequeña, llenará totalmente tu cuarto y podrás disfrutar muchísimo de tus películas y videojuegos, sin lugar a dudas y probablemente sin necesidad de añadir un subwoofer (quizá, si existiera uno más pequeño, sería un gran añadido).
2.- Si quieres tener Alexa, y aparte tener una gran barra de sonido por un precio no tan exagerado (como su hermana mayor, la Sonos Arc).
3.- Si es de tus primeros o tu primer producto de Sonos y piensas ampliarlo con el tiempo.
- Aquí hago paréntesis: a mi consideración (y remarco, es solo una opinión), valdría muchísimo la pena comprar la Sonos Beam más dos Sonos One SL para tener un efecto surround y sigue siendo más barato que la Sonos Arc y tendrás un sistema completamente envolvente y ahorras un poco más.
- Segundo paréntesis: después de hacer ese sistema, agrégale el subwoofer y es de las mejores opciones que puedas conseguir en el mercado.

En fin, ¿la recomiendo?
Sí, definitivamente.

¿Me compro esta barra más dos Sonos One en lugar de la Sonos Arc?
Sí.

¿Necesito subwoofer?
Hay un dicho que dice que sí, que siempre será mejor tener un subwoofer a no tenerlo, pero con calma, esfuerzo y ahorro se puede lograr un gran sistema de sonido.

Debo empezar diciendo que investigue mucho sobre un teatro en casa para mi estudio (que realmente es pequeño) así es como di con esta barra de sonido. Tenia muchas recomendaciones por YouTube y los comentarios de aquí eran buenos, así que decidí optar por esta barra, sabiendo que mas adelante me haría con mas piezas de Sonos.

Por el momento me ha gustado mucho la calidad de sonido, tiene mucho detalle en cuanto a los efectos, los diálogos, sonidos, etc. Pero aun así no me logra convencer, porque si se necesitan al menos las dos Sonos One a los lados para el sonido envolvente. De igual forma te logra atrapar en su sonido y aunque los graves no son tan profundos, hace lo que puede para equilibrar ese sonido y que no los necesites.

En cuanto a la música siento que es donde me sentí un poco decepcionado, pues realmente el volumen no es muy alto y se hacen notar la falta de graves. Ademas de que yo no cuento con un iPhone, por lo cual la función de AirPlay no sirve de nada, pues al no tener bluetooth, la única forma de mandar audio es por medio de los servicios de Spotify, Amazon Music, etc.

En resumen, es muy buena barra para empezar con un sonido limpio y detallado, pero si buscas potencia y graves en el audio, sera mejor que busques algo con un sub ya incluido.

Esencialmente la uso más para cuando juego. Me encanta el sonido tan nítido que tiene y la potencia de los bajos y la voz. Mi tele no tiene eArc pero si ARC y funciona bastante bien a pesar de no tener Dolby Atmos porque por ARC no pasa el Dolby Atmos. Se enlaza rápidamente y la configuración es con la APP Sonos. El acabado es bueno y si suena en 3D. Creo que vale la pena. Igual puedo pasar sonido de mi dispositivo iOS y Desde mi Apple TV y combinar el sonido con mis HomePod.

Es una bocina con una muy buena calidad de sonido.
Las películas se escuchan mejor. En especial aquellas de acción. El dolby atmos marca una gran diferencia pero ya con un sonido 5.1 se percibe una gran calidad.
La bocina aporta mejor definición en videojuegos sobre todo en shooters.
Y para mi el el mejor apartado es en música. Se escucha muy bien aunque quizá algunos sientan que se queda corta de sonido. Honestamente yo no tengo que tener música a gran volumen para disfrutarla.
La bocina es parte de un ecosistema de sonos por sí sola no ofrece una calidad estéreo de sala de cine pero mejora muchísimo el sonido de la tv. Si se desea una experiencia mas inversiva siempre se puede optar por crecer el número de bocinas para armar un buen sistema.
En resumen. Me encanta y estoy satisfecho con mi elección.
