Must sons always follow the ghostly footstep imprints made by their fathers? The answer is as broad as human abilities and imagination without limit will allow. This novel is the third book wrap-up for the amazingly adept Pea Island Gold Trilogy.
Born with a scant chance for a decent life, Sunday Everette proved her abilities beyond every trial, though provoked by chance, man, or fate. Her spirit always displayed self-respect. This novel presents arousing, stimulating and unexpected challenges.
Der Jaeger is a West German special agent executioner. He has tracked down escaped Nazi who had been a part of Hitler's Third Reich. This time, he journeyed to meet Herr Von Bittnerhof in Argentina. Small fry as bait for bigger fish.
Dieter Bach, an accomplished violinist, possesses a total recall memory which made his musical proficiency legendary. He first met Susan Everette in Manteo, on Roanoke Island. Dieter was depressed. He believed he would never play again after muggers shot a bullet through both his hands.
Smitty, the local barber told Dieter that Sunday Everette, Charlie and Suzi lived in Wanchese. "Sunday was somethin' of a local legend. Suzi was purty as a China doll, a mixed race gal."
Air Florida flight 90 crashed into the 14th Street bridge. Dieter Bach had made a come back only to fall victim to icy winter weather.
Charles Sontag had stage presence, looks and charisma to burn. He played flawlessly, and with astonishing maturity. His father watched proudly.
This is an exceptionally well written trilogy about an incredible life journey. The reader will enjoy all the twists, curves and bounces.
