I wanted a full-frame digital camera that could accept an adapter allowing me to use my Leica R lenses. The Sony fills the bill perfectly. It will not autofocus with other-than Sony lenses, but that is no problem. It has a feature which, when manually focusing, doubles the size of the area on which you wish to focus, and that is very helpful, especially with wide-angle lenses. It will auto expose, if you use aperture priority metering.
One annoyance: the instruction booklet is miserable. Not a word about flash, for example. With that exception, I'm very leased with the camera.
