Thought this would be a good unit to go with my Panasonic plazma. Bad idea. Took myself and a friend about 1 hr to connect everything and another 3 hrs to try and get the thing working. Using the set-up dvd and manual. Have yet to try blu-ray player. System is comparible to a $ 25 stereo clock radio. Cheap and very small plastic enclosed speakers, sub is larger and built more like a speaker. Wireless - not. It is wireless from main unit to receiver for rear speakers. The receiver for rear speakers is a black box that needs a power source and wires connecting to speakers. Comes with a mic.,you have to place in center of room and it sets the levels through the setup. Numerous different placements of mic to try to get full surround sound, have yet to find it. Once all is set up it's lame, supposed to be 1000 watts of power-maybe 10 ? Have no adjustment for balance, bass,or treble. Has a few settings for different sound modes but that only muffles or ups the high frequencies. Panasonic set has 20 watt stereo output and the volume level on the tv ( before connecting system )had at least 4 times the power and full range of adjustments for bass, treble, and balance and better sound. Not wireless, lacks sound quality, lacks volume and usually takes 20-30 seconds for sound to come on after unit is powered up.Might only work as an overpriced surround system for gaming in a 6x6 closet, maybe ? I would rate this sytem at -10. It's an overpriced cheaply constructed piece of junk which does not perform.Sony is no longer quality!!!
