From the Manufacturer
The Sony Cybershot DSC-T10 packs more great features into a sleek metallic case about the size of a credit card--including 7.2 MP resolution for more detail in big prints and tight crops, top-quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens for superb image quality, and Real Imaging Processor circuitry for quick camera response to capture fast-moving subjects.
Doubly Effective in Reducing Blur
With the Sony Super SteadyShot Optical Image Stabilization system to help prevent blurred images, you can shoot indoors without flash to preserve the mood. High sensitivity (ISO 1000) lets you shoot at higher shutter speed to catch fast action--and the Sony Clear RAW Noise Reduction system counters the noise associated with higher ISO, so you can shoot effectively in museums and religious sites where flash may not be permitted.
Big-Screen Slide Shows and Stamina Battery Power
With its large 2.5-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus screen, the DSC-T10 lets you create in-camera slide shows with select background music playback, to put on a show for friends and family. And with high-stamina InfoLithium battery, you'll have up to 250 pictures--a whole weekend of shooting.
With sleek metallic case, the DSC-T10 fits anywhere, travels with ease, and captures spectacular color images in a style all its own--so you can always have great little Sony Cyber-Shot camera on hand to save your memories.
7.2-Megapixel Super HAD CCD
Another step up in megapixel performance gives you greater detail for making large prints or cropping in tightly on your subject--with the advanced Sony Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design, more light passes to each pixel for increased sensitivity and reduced noise.
The Sony Super SteadyShot system detects camera movement and sends correcting signals to a stabilization lens to prevent image blur and reduce the effect of camera shake--an advantage when shooting with such a small camera.
Sometimes flash can change the mood--so the DSC-T10 provides high sensitivity (ISO 1000) for excellent low-light shots at higher shutter speed and for capturing images in museums or religious sites where flash may not be permitted. The Sony Clear RAW Noise Reduction system counters the picture noise traditionally associated with high ISO.
Carl Zeiss 3x Optical/2x Precision Digital Zoom
An ingenious lens design provides 3x Optical Zoom capability in amazingly compact camera dimensions--and even at full zoom the lens doesn't project beyond the camera body, preserving the ultra-slim styling of the DSC-T10.
Capture Images In-Camera
With 56 MB Internal Memory, the DSC-T10 allows you to shoot photos without a flash memory card--so you can always get your shot even if you forgot your card. From internal memory, you can easily transfer your images to Memory Stick Duo media, upload to your computer or make prints on your digital printer.
Adjustable Clear Photo LCD Plus Screen
With its Clear Photo LCD Plus design, the DSC-T10's big, bright 2.5-inch screen raises the standard for built-in, on-screen picture viewing--and gives you adjustable brightness to images look better even in bright sunlight.
Slide Show with Select Music Playback
The DSC-T10 lets you view in-camera images in Slide Show sequence, with one-button operation, selectable transition effects and up to four music background tracks that make it more entertaining to share your memories with family and friends. You can even use supplied Picture Package Music Transfer software to add your own favorite music.
Versatile Color Modes
The DSC-T10 gives you greater creative freedom to adjust color mode for the creative results you want--with new Natural setting for subtle colors and Vivid setting for more intense colors, in addition to Standard, Monochrome and Sepia color settings.
A supplied NP-FT1 InfoLithium rechargeable battery lets you shoot up to 250 pictures3 on a full charge, recharges quickly and easily, and shows you about how much shooting time remains.
14x Smart Zoom Feature (at VGA Resolution)
The Cybershot DSC-T10 intelligently "crops into" the central portion of interest in your photo without sacrificing full CCD resolution--avoiding the image degradation of other digital zooms.
Real Imaging Processor LSI
To improve camera response and extend battery life, the Sony Real Imaging Processor LSI (Large Scale Integrated) circuit decreases shutter lag, improves picture quality and clarity, and increases battery stamina.
Memory Stick Duo Media
The DSC-T10 has a built-in slot for optional Memory Stick Duo media that provides ultra-compact, high-capacity shooting and recording.
Picture Motion Browser Software
Supplied software makes it easier to upload, organize and search photos on your PC--and provides a convenient map view function to help with sorting images, as well.

Once over seas my T10 has proved to be one of the most reliable pieces of equipment I have, I never leave the FOB without it. Its been dropped a few times (In a carrying case made by Lowepro), seen combat, has a sizable dent in the front, scratched all over, and undoubtedly has a pound of Iraqi dust inside, and it still works as well as the day I bought it a year ago. I dont know whats its specs are, I dont care, its been able to accomplish any task I throw at it and more. The picture quality looks great to me, photos are crisp and clear, even while taking the previously mentioned "snap shots," with great lighting even without a flash; with a 2GB memory card I can hold 101 pictures. The videos play smoothly and clear with a microphone that pics up almost everything; with 2GB memory stick I can hold 93 minutes and six seconds worth of video. The controls and functions are very intuitive, Im just a dumb ol' Infantryman and I figured out how to use it without ever really reading the manual; every now and again I even stumble upon something new. Most functions can be done with one button on the back, that includes flash, timer, macro, zoom, last picture review, switching between review/picture/video mode, delete, birghtness, and screen display just to name the important ones. The battery life is very long, I normally go a week or so on one charge with normal use: 100 minutes charge time for pictures, 80 minutes of video time, and 150 minutes of review time. The most impressive thing though, in my opinion any way, is the T10s ability to take pictures quickly, all I have to do is slid the front cover down, less then a second later the camera is ready to go, I point and shoot, maybe one second goes by, on average, before the picture is captured; no other camera I looked at could compete with that performance.
So, although some dont consider it the best art house camera, it is definatly something for the everyman. The price isnt low, but its not high either; its a small piece of electronic equipment, its going to be pricey, besides, you get what you pay for, and a year after buying it, I like to think that I've got my moneys worth. I figure even with new technology I'll hold on to the T10 for another year or so, then I'll get Sony's newest T series camera.
