Instructions to Install Ear tips: With one hand hold the ear tip and the other, the In-Ear Earphone Driver. Place the Driver of the Earphone in the edge of the ear tip canal. Apply pressure and with a circular motion, twist with one hand clockwise and with the other the opposite direction, until the ear tip has fully covered the Driver of the Earphone. Once you have put them on properly, they will stay on securely. Also to help with installation, you can slightly moisten the rim of the ear tip canal, and repeat the process. Make sure you just moisten the ear tip, do not apply a lot of water, just a drop is enough, so you do not get the speaker driver wet.

Not really a fan of comply foam tips and the stock tips that came with the UE triple-fi 10 didn't fit me so well. So this is what I got and they're really great. The material is really soft and fits quite nicely with 4 sizes available. Blocks out pretty much 90% of the surrounding noise when i use it.
After extended use you can see that it will acquire the shape of your ear canals and yet doesn't lose the seal.
However the white ones do turn yellow after extended use. If that is an issue the black ones are always an option.
These fit perfectly with the nozzles on the TF10s. I have heard they work well with Ath-Ck10s as well.
The second largest size fits okay, but the rest of them are so dramatically larger or smaller that they are completely useless. However the sizes are good for a first timer to try all four.
Clarity and cleanness improved over the comply tips I have been using. Usually foam tips help with bass presence, however because the TF10s already have great bass coming from the triple BA drivers that the tips only made the sound muddy and just wrong with certain genres and songs. And the rubber tips from UE are just uncomfortable.
The Sony Hybrid tips helped solve these problems. However, I found they still aren't the most comfortable tips out there. Gel tips, Shure's olive tips, and comply foams are all more comfortable than them. I feel like they could use better material.
Over all they are okay for $9. Anymore they would not be worth the price.
P.S. The white versions are only 1 dollar more expensive, and they look SEXY with the TF10s.
Sony claims that they're IEM phones sound best with genuine Sony tips--the hybrid silicon variety (which means they're made of a more rubbery quality than foam, and are two-layered--an outer soft layer for sealing the space around the ear, and an inner stiffer layer for conducting the sound directly to the ear canal). Presently, J&R is pricing these tips as low as I've ever seen them (tou can do a little better only if you move to the color black and order directly from Amazon).
Even though I now do most of my listening using these miniature marvels, they can be a bit tricky getting used to. If they're too big, they''l constantly fall out of your ear; too small, on the other hand, and you run the risk of losing one in your ear canal and potentially requiring the services of an eye-ear-nose specialist for removal. As a result, I prefer wearing them in the somewhat larger size and not insisting on an absolutely air-tight seal (admittedly, they pop loose from time to time).
If your preference is for larger IEM buds that don't penetrate the canal yet remain in your ear even while running, etc., you may very well find the Comply Tips more to your liking. They expand in the ear, practically ensuring a close, tight fit at all times. But they do wear out within a month or two and, consequently, soon become rather pricey. Your assurance that the pictured tips are genuine Sony tips (I see a lot of interchangeable, generic tips going for approximately the same price) is the colored area inside the tip, each color representing a different size. (Sony makes approximately 8 different-sized tips for each earphone, though this 4-tip package should provide enough of a range of sizes to permit the user to determine what what size will, or is likely to, fit best.
(If you plan to use this type of earphone while working out with one of those spinal decompression machines that turns the user upside-down, I definitely recommend using the Comply tips.)
