The soundbase works well, when it works. Set-up is easy and the sound is good. However, I have encountered frequent problems. I should be able to turn it on and off with the TV via the HDMI ARC connection, but every few days it gets out of sync and stops responding, and I have to reset everything. Sometimes it doesn't come on at all, just endlessly cycles the "Please Wait" message and never latches in. I can't recommend this one.
UPDATED 9/10: I sent the unit in for repair under warranty, and it worked right for a couple of weeks after that. Then the same problem (flashing "Please Wait" forever and not ever connecting) began to happen again. Add to that, now sometimes it appears to latch in, showing TV as the input, but playing no sound.
I'll be replacing this with another brand as soon as I can. This was a waste of my time and money. I'm downgrading my rating from two stars to one.
