The most practical headphones for (wet and dry) hot climates in my opinion
(I keep the cable tied to prevent accidental pulling)I really love these headphones. They're super comfortable especially in summer. Wearing headphones in summer is the reason why I chose these and they didn't disappoint. I work as a full-time freelancer. So, I use them A Lot. I live in Lahore, Pakistan. They are also very easy to put on and take off. They are light to carry around the neck.I wish that more headphones like these existed. They have outlasted the form many times. I bought replacement foams to replace the damaged ones. I bought them from a chinese online store. They were really cheap and fitted easily.I have been using the same model headphone since more than 5 years now. They are very practical headphones.
So far in my search for a pair of lightweight headphones that do not pinch or push on my temples, leaving me with another migraine, that are lightweight but have decent sound, and wired well enough so the plug doesn't fall apart (where the wire attaches to the plug) and finally, headphones that don't require a bank loan, I can say these are by far THE ABSOLUTE BEST of the bunch. I have bought so many pair of lightweights looking for something that did not give me a migraine. As a side note, I also recommend (coming i 2nd, and only as a backup pair) are the unbelievably low cost (average price $4.49) Koss KPH7's) The sound is certainly not high end but for the price still amazes me for the sound, and comfort. Unfortunately, the problem I've had with ALL this type of headphone is the plug. But, I digress - Back to these Sony MDR-G45Lp's, I love them. The design is ingenious and I have yet to buy a single pair of headphones which could pass the test of a plug that snaps into my computer...audibly. It actually makes a snap sound. All the other headphones I've tried fail the plug in test. None of them really fit a chromebook tightly. Every other pair wore out right where the wire end mets the plug in. Then its gorilla tape, duct tape, scotch, you name it, I've had every kind of "fix" on the end of that wire. Having a wobbly plug also makes listening to anything horrible. Crackling, static anything but what headphones were made to do. The Sonys are what headphones should be. I have not enjoyed my music this much in a very very long time. THANK YOU SONY! I recommend this particular pair over all the lightweights I have tried and they are most definitely compatible with a chromebook. (I am using an Acer 15 CB3-532) The plug fits perfectly. The headphones being around the back instead of over your head are so comfortable you forget they are even there. Absolutely the best headphones for people with chronic migraines. They never push or pinch on the temple area and also have a more than decent sound. Nice long cord and I wear mine almost all day and night. They are also very affordable. I am thinking of buying at least one more pair of these in case they stop making them for some reason. These win the award for me. I absolutely love them and recommend them to anyone who needs comfort as well as quality and good sound.
OVERALL A very good headset for the price. Caveat, the price varies considerably, even on Amazon.com, often from hour-to-hour. I purchased a new set for $9 from Amazon.
COMFORTABILITY "Behind-the-neck" headphones are generally the most comfortable type you can purchase. However, you can buy a half-dozen different headsets which look identical except for the brandname. Some will be comfortable, some won't. Apparently different folks have different shaped heads and ears, which is important to the fit of behind-the-neck headphones. So, when you find a set which is comfortable for you---buy an extra set or two and stash them. Personally, I find the Sony MDR-G45LP headphones to be very comfortable---but your experience could be different.
ADJUSTABILTIY Like all other "behind-the-neck" headphones Sony MDR-G45LPs are non-adjustable because no adjustment is necessary. In fact, that is one of the advantages of "behind-the-neck" headsets as compared to "top-of-the-head" headsets.
CORD LENGTH Despite the silly complaints of a few other reviewers that the cord is short, it is in fact the Sony MDR-G45LP cord is the standard length---long enough for you to carry your MP3 in your pants pocket. Short is better than too long---you can always add a cheap extension, for example Cables To Go 40405 3.5 mm Male/Female Stereo Audio Extension Cable, Black (1.5 Feet/0.45 Meters). If the cord is too long, it will catch on things, straining the cord at the plug----which is what will ultimately kill the headset.
SOUND QUALITY The sound quality of the Sony MDR-G45LPs is VERY crisp and clear, (unlike many headsets which are optimized to "pump up the bass" which makes voice and treble muddy). I use the headphones to listen to audiobooks for which it is perfect.
CONSTRUCTION QUALITY Appears to be good, but unfortunately, the Sony MDR-G45LP has a right-angle plug. Virtually all headsets "die" by strain on the wires at the plugs---so straight plugs are far better than angled plugs (because straight plugs pull out easily, rather than straining the wire).
COMPARISON WITH OTHER TYPES OF HEADPHONES
"Behind-the-neck" headphones are generally the most comfortable type you can purchase. They also the best at staying in place when exercising.
For an "outside the house/office" headset, I prefer my J-buds JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (White) with my Budkeeper Carrying Case - Fire Engine Red (BKFD20-G47) case, which I clip to a belt loop. I can also stash a couple of extra AAA batteries with my J-Buds in the Budkeeper. The J-Buds in the Budkeeper are a much smaller package, and J-Buds are better at noise reduction, for example in a doctor's waiting room with a TV on. However earbuds can become uncomfortable after several hours. I suspect that the build-up of heat and moisture in your ear canals might lead to infections if earbuds are worn several hours daily. Indeed, enough heat builds up to melt your earwax, which then solidifies in and on the earbuds. Premium earbuds even have replaceable "wax filters". If you wear non-premium earbuds, clean the earwax out regularly, or it will get to the speakers and kill them.
"Top of the head" headphones slip easily, require adjustment, interfere with wearing hats and interfere with women wearing hair "up". The only purpose for which a "top-of-the-head" headset is better, is for listening to music while taking a nap.
Apple/airline type earplugs are just plain uncomfortable, fall out of your ears easily, and do not provide the noise isolation of earbuds.

Merci beaucoup .
This is my second time i am buying this same neck-phone. Older one worked for more than 4 years. - Durable... my older same neck phones worked for 4 years and still woking (just cord got cut and one speaker stopped working). - Excellent sound quality with good bass and best noise cancellation (however it doesn't have too high volume). - Long cord with 3.5mm Jack supported on all devices. - Can be used for phone calling and use your mobile's mic for audio input. - Never breaking even in worst condition and flexible plastic material used that makes it stretchable to fix on any head size. - Recommended especially those who have migrain/headache problem due to headphone/earbuds.
This product has really soothing and pleasant sound and you should only go for this. Audio quality cannot be matched with any JBL/BOSE/SYNIZER/BEAT head phones.
Sony neck-phone is extra-ordinary product.Buy it.. Try it..
I've always had trouble with in-ear headphones - they always fell out, even if sitting still, never mind working out (Plus the idea of blaring sound right into my ear canal is a bit unnerving). So I've always opted for headphones that sat over the ear, but, if you look around, there's probably a million different headphones to choose from; some dirt cheap while others in the price range of a smart phone. Luckily, Sony makes (and hopefully continues to make) an affordable & functional set that just work great! The sound quality is really clear, the way they sit on the ears is fantastic (never moves, even while at the gym or outdoors), they look great, and last a REALLY long time compared to the competition (I purchased one of these from a big box retailer 8 years ago and they finally died this week, after DAILY use...Meanwhile, two $100 headphones I got as gifts broke in less than a year - Don't just look at the price when buying headphones!!!).
Cons: - When you first get your headphones, they may irritate the top of your ears a bit if you wear them for extended periods of time - this passes once you 'break-them-in' / get used to them - The ear pads/foam will eventually change colour (to a tan/brown), more so if you wear them while exercising due to the sweat/oil from your skin and may eventually disintegrate in time - this is inevitable with all headphones like these, but luckily Amazon sells replacement pads (by KOSS I believe), 6 in a pack for like $5. In my experience, you only need to change them once every 12-16 months, so it's not that expensive.
Overall: 5/5 - In my opinion, the best on-ear headphones you can buy for under $100!
Habe den schon eine halbe Ewigkeit. Der funktioniert immernoch wie neu. Klang is echt spitze. Is halt Qualität. Der machte so einiges nun schon mit, aber ist stets in Form und ohne irgendeinen Schaden/Kratzer. Bin überaus froh über den Kauf. Werde ihn weiterhin nutzen und empfehle ihn klar weiter :)
