Light, *Extremely* Comfortable, Great Sound, Great Craftsmanship, Amazing Bass, Price (79.99 Average, Shipping Included)
Very short headphone cord, Have to Adjust EQ to get optimal sound, Need a quality sound card or a Mobo with great on-board audio to access an EQ for headphone adjustment, loud for nearby people (Not advised for office listening)
4.8 / 5.0 - Overall Rating
Right out of the box these headphones feel very squishy and light with *excessive* ear padding and padding on the top bridge of the headphones as well, almost assuring you before you put them on that these will be comfy - and they are, Exceptionally! I wore these with no discomfort for over 12 hours straight. After a few minor EQ adjustments with my Creative X-Fi Fatality sound card these headphones come to life and sound better than the $299.00 Bose and Dr. Dre counterparts frequently shown at Best Buy. High's and Mid's are crystal clear with a little EQ adjusting and the bass does *not* "muddy" them up. The cable connecting the headphones from jack to your head is very very small at only 4ft long I would advise purchasing a cable extender if used other than with an mp3 player or PC right next to you. The cable is also flat, which is new to me and it seems to avoid tangling that way and works out great. The sound bleeds out of these when being used so I do advise not using in an office environment, library, or anywhere that low noise is desired although for home use this does not matter. The advertised low frequency of 4Hz these headphones do attain, though anything over 18kHz is usually not noticed by the general population so I did not test over 17kHz. Purchase price for me was $38.95 - Free Shipping. Durability was not rated because I have not owned them long enough.

What I would have paid for this product: ~$100.00
7 year update: Nearly 7 years now, still use them for a few hours a day EVERY day... Ear cushions in (not surprisingly) worse shape...almost no leather left... Headband still in good shape and they still sound as good as they did day one.
Will update again in another year...
If you're a music producer or serious listener, don't buy these. If you expect sound quality of a $100+ pair of cans, don't buy these. If you're going to whine about how "the bass is too strong" or "the levels aren't perfect"--DON'T BUY THESE.
If you listen to hip hop or anything electronic, you'll love these. They're a decent pair of headphones for a great price. The bass is punchy and thumps really nice. The highs and mids sound awesome as well, the bass isn't too overpowering like most people have said. The cushions are EXTREMELY soft and comfortable, you can wear these all day every day. The cord is really short, but perfect for laptop or phone use--and the flat, anti-tangle design is AWESOME.
Construction is pretty much 100% plastic with a little bit of faux-leather. These are really light and seem a bit fragile, so you probably wouldn't want to just carelessly toss them in your backpack. I wish the headband had a little more cushion, but it still sits comfortably on the head for long periods of time. These headphones LEAK a little bit, so be cautious of those around you.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. I bought these for $50 and they're worth exactly that. These are NOT studio-quality headphones. They WILL NOT perform like $100+ headphones. The bass is increased SIGNIFICANTLY, but these can play all types of music (if you seriously care about the subtleties of acoustic or classical music, GO ELSEWHERE).
You won't find better headphones for $50. Buy these if you simply love music and love big, soft headphones with deep bass response. If you're thinking about buying the MDR XB300, you should seriously reconsider--these are 100x better in every way (the MDR XB700's are only better because they are metal, sound quality is the same).
Good luck with your headphone shopping!
