They look and feel great. I've been able to wear them for an entire day without fatigue. They don't have any problems completely covering my above average large ears.
I'm not much of an audiophile, but they do sound great!
Sound: Sony has always equalized their headphones in a way that made them sound really well. no matter which end of the product, from high to economical, Sony headphones all seem to have this punch that may not be simply augmenting low frequency responses. In fact, the bass on this headphone, I think, is moderate. However, my rock songs sound phenomenal with these cans. more depth of the music than a bass accentuating pair. In comparison to, say Sennheisers, which are more about clarity, sony headphones including this one enhance all sort of drumbeats. So that means snare drums too. also they pick up good volume from my iphone. amps seem optional.
Comfort: I can wear these all day. but it may get hot in summer days. the light weight is worth noting. one cord coming out of left makes it easy to take off or put on. the carry pouch feels high end. it is designed to be on the tighter end so headbangers would love these, but they are not as fit hanging around the neck.
First pair of headphones were some Monster NTune HD. Then hopped on the bandwagon and got some Audio Technica ATH M50x's. I didn't buy these expecting to beat the AT's, but more so to replace the monsters with an over ear headphone.
They are decent. I wouldn't see myself paying any more than $85 for these. They are comfortable and surprisingly light and adjust well to fit my big head and the cushion on the band and ears are soft. The drivers seem angled from the front to shoot to the back of the ear.
They also seem sturdy though almost all of the headphone is plastic and kind of thin feeling. They are very pliable.
The sound quality is ok... they are basically what I like to call 'hip hop headphones' in that they have that general eq of the accentuated bass, some focus on the treble, but the mids are a little lacking. When I first got them, the bass was too much and not very clean and tight, giving a kind of hollow and spacy feeling when listening to stuff like rock. I 'burnt them in' for about a month now and maybe I'm just starting to get used to them, but they don't sound quite as hollow and muddy, which is good. They have a wonderful Soundstage though, as a redeeming quality.
Honestly I got them more so with the intent to use them form gaming. They work for both the PS4 and XB1 controllers and work well with my Samsung galaxy. For more quality listening, I'm using my AT's. If you are looking for something like these but want something cheaper and on-ear fit, those monsters are definitely not bad headphones and I feel they perform better than these surprisingly coming from the guys that once made Beats... if you are focused on more sound quality without the mic/mobile capabilities, look at the audio technica m40 for price comparison rather than the 50s. These definitely aren't bad headphones with decent sound quality and are great for gaming or just wearing them out and about to use with you phone. If you are looking for more audiophile sound quality, probably not the ones for you... but then again you won't find many headphones in this price range that suit those needs.

I think their durability expires around the warranty period is over.
Weak total volume, sound depth. Expected better quality for the price. Lower cost Beats had much better sound depth and loudness.Read more
