However, for those who purchased this for their a6500, it's very close-tolerance--a small portion of the left side of the LCD may get cut-off if affixed too far to the right edge. Since this product is intended for the a6000 and a6300, I can't complain. But I adjusted it so that the screen protector is left-aligned, and it's fine.
Another thing I've noticed reviewers say--that it negatively impacts the touch screen. That is false--the touch screen on the a6500 is known to be buggy, and the responsiveness isn't that good even without a screen protector.
As long as this is aligned to the left edge of the LCD, this is perfectly fine for the a6500.
Works as expected. Be sure to properly clean the surface properly prior to protector placement. Application of the product was seamless (I always use waffle-weave Microfiber pile 80/20 GSM 350 GSM to clean with nylon/latex gloves to ensure fingerprints/oils are not introduced).
The surface of the protector that adheres to the screen, allows for placement modifications, in the event you don’t get it right the first time.
After attaching, it looks OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) but to the point that it came that way.
Wanted the same solution for my a6500 but got very confused looking through Sony's site, B&H & Amazon. I even contacted Sony Support (April 2017), who responded "With regard to your query, as of this time, there is no hard/rigid screen protector available for the camera. I regret to inform you that the PCKLM17 is not compatible. This will only fit on A6000 and A6300 cameras."
Say what??!! Just installed the PCKLM17 on the a6500. It fits perfectly, and as far as I can tell, doesn't interfere with touch-screen use. I am baffled why Sony doesn't think it's compatible, since it's their product. Maybe they felt it diminished touch-screen sensitivity. In any case, I'm glad to have the LCD well-protected at the same level as the a7R2.
Also this screen protector works perfectly on the a6400 and the touch screen functions still work perfectly. I also used this on the protector on the a6300 and a6500 will no issues.
Bought another one for the A6500 and it fits perfectly. It doesn't seem to diminish the touch screen in any way but I do wonder if the material will hold up to being used as a touch screen. So far so good. Added more photos.
Gives a little piece of mind for the LCD on your A6000/A6300.
It is well made and perfectly cut for the A6300. It goes on very easily and is easy to remove and realign should you need to adjust it. Even though the A6300 doesn't have a touch screen it feels good and doesn't make reading the screen more difficult. Once it is on good, it shouldn't come off unless you want to take it off and it looks like you don't have a screen protector on it at all.
I almost reduced the star rating because the price at roughly $15 is maybe a little steep for what you get but considering it does its job, goes on easy, and looks good I think it is still a 5 star product and can easily recommend it for the A6300.
This is my second one, Sony RX-100 ll and Sony A6000, and there is no reason to get anything else. It's even reasonably priced for a Sony accessory. I've had good success with Expert Shield too but my last one that I tried on my A6000 was a disappointment, hence, got the Sony screen saver instead. Get your screen really, really clean, and apply. Never had any bubble issues, even when first applied. If you get it on perfectly linear, I have my technique, you will not even know it's on there. Start with the upper right side corner and then let your fingers, left hand, guide it down for linear placement from top to bottom. DO NOT BEND IT!! Just let it lay down. Read the instructions too! :) Great product!

The quality of this protector is excellent it's a tough plastic and feels much stronger than some of the other types of protectors I have used on phones and cameras which are just a thin film.
Overall I think it's worth paying the extra few quid for this protector to save problems in future when you need to replace it!
I can confirm that this fits the a6500 and the touchscreen function is not affected at all. I'd heard conflicting reports on this so I'm glad I decided to chance it. I couldn't stand the thought of my screen getting scratched!
It's a strange protector though as the adhesive is solely on the edges, meaning there's a small gap between the protector surface and the surface of the screen. In hotter or damper climates, when travelling for example, I can imagine bubbles of moisture collecting underneath. This doesn't affect the touch screen though, so I'm not too fusses at this time. How long it lasts I'm not sure, and I don't expect it to protect my screen from much other than light scratches.
It is easy to fit by eye without it looking wonky - it fitted straight first time. Also, you cannot tell afterwards that a screen protector has been applied. It totally blends in and looks like the camera came like that.
When it does get scuffed one day, then I'll carefully remove it, wipe off any adhesive with nothing stronger than isopropanol wipe hopefully, and then attach another one. Anyway my usual practice is to place the camera wrapped in some cloth before it is placed in a camera bag (I might replace my current cloth with a 'Domke wrap') so I don't intend to scratch the camera too much if I can help it!
