Watch died on full battery, had to return the watch. Very disappointed, it was really nice.
You can dial calls and receive calls, but there is no mic to actually talk to the other person. I wish you could turn the speaker phone on from the watch. You can connect either through Bluetooth or NFC (which I am not sure how to use, so I chose bluetooth). Everything is really simple to set up. Literally, I paired with my phone after downloading the smart app it tells you to download from the playstore, and in the watch settings it has instagram, facebook, email, and bunch of other things you can connect right away. Everything is running smoothly so far. I have seen videos of this watch being FULLY waterproof. The guy put the watch in a big glass of water and kept dunking it over and over again. I haven't tried it yet because it's too new for me to accidentally ruin it. I want to enjoy it! :)
The first thing that got my attention is the price, fluctuating around $90 in comparison with other popular smartwatches of the time, like the Samsung Gear.
Then I started doing some research on it, and one thing got all my attention, this watch has a "transflective" LCD display, this is basically a normal display, but when the display "times out" or you turn off the screen, is like an "Always on Display" that current Samsung phones have, but instead of using light to display something, this display uses the ambient light as light source, so it wastes less battery. This obviously means that you can only see the display in a bright to dim environment, in darkness, you have to actually turn on the display to see it (see attached pictures). This was the feature that made me buy it.
One thing though, the battery only last a day, so be prepared to charge it alongside with your phone.
As for its functionality, users can view and respond to text messages on the device, initiate phone calls on their phone from the device, scroll through and initiate the playback of tracks from their music library on their phone from the device, view graphically simplified tweets, and much more. The interface is minimalistic, but that's understandable considering that this is - at the time that I am writing this review - an outdated model of Sony's series of smart watches. I think that its cheaper price and its elegant metallic housing and band make it worth a purchase relative to the newer model if one doesn't need the latest and greatest and is merely looking for a respectable smart watch that looks classy.
