    The controller seems to be of solid build, though I wish the d-pad was a little better. I plan on using it as is for a while and then using the PCB to make a wireless stick. From what I've read these controllers are very mod friendly, so if you're looking to get creative, buy this just for the PCB.

    This fightpad is a great alternative to those who lack a fightstick and won't be bothered with using a dualshock to play fighters. It's very responsive and looks very nice. Overall it's a fantastic controller... until it stops working correctly. This is the second one of these SFIV fightpads I buy. The first one lasted me around 2 months until something happened and it was as if the d-pad only went to the right, and there was no control whatsoever. I thought it was simply a defective controller and ordered another one recently. After only two weeks of regular use, the same exact thing as before happened. 30 bucks down the drain once again. Looks like I'm gonna have to save up for a TE fightstick now.

    it "was" ok, cause... indeed it funcioned perfect. it was a a great buy to get in line with great masters of the SSFIV universe. but... as i read in other reviews after a few months it stopeed without a reason....

    I recommend the pad if you have trouble sliding on a Directional Pad or if you've never used an Arcade Stick before. There are a handful of top players that use this item for tournament play.

    In the past I have always had a problem with the MadCatz products. So when I found out about the Street Fighter IV Fight Pad my thought weren't very positive, but after watching and reading some of the previews and reviews I decided to take a risk and purchased one at GameStop. I probably won't be the first person to admit this, but after playing SSFII HD Remix and SFIV I was very shocked and saprised at how responsive the fightpad really is. MadCatz, you did a great job. There are some positives and negatives that I do have with the fightpad.

    Positives-

    Great response, turbo functions and backwards compadible to PS1 games.

    Negatives-

    Not backwards compadible to PS2 games(though I hope that will be fixed),
    loose d-pad, and too expensive(I paid $39.99 for mine with tax).

    If you are looking for a controller for fighting games, I would highly recomend this product, but at a reasonable price.

    Les plus :
    - confort d'utilisation : agréable à prendre en main (notamment grâce aux grips en gomme sur les cotés)
    - design impeccable
    - aucun problème de réception avec le récepteur sans fil
    - agencement des boutons très pratique pour Street Fighter
    - Fonctionne parfaitement sur PC : on branche et çà marche (testé sur Windows Vista)

    Les moins :
    - les boutons font un peu cheap
    - la croix directionnelle, bien que très fonctionnelle en général, a montré parfois des signes de fatigues en utilisation intensive : la direction se retrouvait bloqué dans un sens et j'étais obligé de la débloquer manuellement
    - la petite taille du récepteur est un plus mais il est dommage qu'il n'ait pas de logement dans le pad (un peu comme sur certaines souris pour portables).

    Au final, c'est un excellent joystick pour Street Fighter IV mais j'ai peur que sa durée de vie n'excède pas celle du jeu en question...

    Erstmal das Positive:
    Wer Streetfighter lieber mit einem Pad spielen möchte, sollte sich schon so ein Ding kaufen. Für diesen Preis gibt es nichts besseres, was den Bedienkomfort betrifft.
    Ein Stick is natürlich immer besser, aber eben auch gewöhnungsbedürftiger und teuer.

    ABER... leider sind diese Pads extrem anfällig.
    2 von meinen 3 sind bereits defekt. Eines davon bereits nach 3 Wochen! Das ist absolut inakzeptabel.
    Es kam schon seit der ERSTEN Nutzung häufiger vor, dass wenn man ein paar Sekunden dauerhaft nach unten drückt, sich die Eingabe scheinbar verhakte. Auch wenn man nichts drückte, blieb die Figur sitzen und ich musste jedesmal eine komplette Kreisdrehung mit dem Digipad ausführen um normal weiterspielen zu können. Inzwischen funktioniert auch das nicht mehr... das Pad drückt nun dauerhaft nach unten.

    La manette est jolie, et ergonomique.
    Mais, le dongle récepteur USB est HS au bout de quelques mois, voire quelques semaines seulement.
    Nous sommes plusieurs à posséder cette manette dans mon entourage (avec des visuels différents), tous les dongle USB sont morts. Après remplacement, idem au bout de quelques semaines.
    Cela rend la manette inutilisable, donc c'est rédhibitoire...
    C'est vraiment dommage de faire une manette aussi jolie et qui a l'air solide et fiable, et tout gâcher à cause d'un récepteur bas de gamme... :((((
