Having ordered this with trust in Amazon to fulfill it as a NEW laptop I was disappointed to receive a refurbished item in crash recovery mode (with a notation that not all data could be recovered). Upon a succesful boot up (third times a charm, right?) I was surprised to see the Norton Anti Virus displaying a message for a Mr. So and So and that it hadnt been ran in 251 days. Upon doing some digging I was able to pull up the details on the computer and sure enough it had been ran and operated by another user. So frustrating. In the three weeks I had it (really trying to just make do with it) it crashed over thirty times, I finally threw in the towel and returned it. Now lets just hope I can still get a refund...

Good but expensive

I bought this mini laptop a month ago and it's good but it has a few issues that I didn't expect.

MICROSOFT WORD: It's MAJORLY over-engineered for the average person. I bet 95% of people use less than 10% of what's available. You have to re-learn it and it's got too much junk. For example, there's about 15 different choices for headers. I need to find an old copy and get rid of the whole Microsoft Office. The downer is that the program is so engrained into Windows that I'm pretty sure it'll be impossible to completely remove.

BATTERY LIFE: Everything says it lasts 8 hours. That's probably true if you stick it in a corner & don't touch it. I need USEFULL hours! The screen MUST be on MAX. I can't see it outside unless it's on max. Even at night, unless it's on max, I'm squinting & get a headache. The best USEFUL HOURS you'd get out of it is 3.5 hours.

STREAMING VIDEO: I watch videos with a WIFI connection and sometimes the video runs faster than it downloads so you have to wait for the computer to catch up. Maybe that's the wireless connection.

LIGHTED KEYBOARD: (Wish it had this.) I suppose I could learn how to type better but in total darkness I have to set up a flashlight to shine at the keys when I work

All in all, it's a sweet little machine.
