"Beautiful words and very helpful for any one who isgoing through grief of any kind. Life is full of grief and we don't realise. Weare forever saying hello and goodbye to friends, family, jobs, relationships, all through our lives. I highly recommend this lovely book which is full ofgreat advice and wisdom to overcome grief in a positive way. Thank you Ericafor such a wonderful gift to the world.
Thank you Erica for writing such a nourishing book for mums like us who are trying to cope after having our beautiful children leave our physical world as we know it. Your beautiful Lily has inspired a book that helps gives a path forward through the most horrific of circumstances.
I've read almost 20 books since we lost our darling girl Mia (aged just 2 yrs 8 mths) to an aggressive form of cancer the end of April, and I'm so grateful to have discovered this one at this time. It doesn't try to explain the stages of grief (Elizabeth Kubler Ross is best for this) but instead shares bite sized strategies for helping one start to live again ...with hope and in the comfort they are always with and around us. This doesn't pretend to take the pain of missing them away or to ask us to move on, but instead encourages us to live from the heart, nourish our own soul and to continue to connect with them at a deeper soul level.. (with suggested techniques to help with this). Its written beautifully and with compassionate insight only a parent having lost a child could know. I've read it twice already and can tell you the strategies work. I encourage all mums who have lost a child to read this... Thank you Erica, you and Lily are an inspiration...
Wow I loved your book Erica ... I cried with you in your deep loss of your beloved Lily .. I smiled at the loving wisdom you shared and breathed in deeply as I received a "reminder" of just what this dying is all about .. A book not only for parents who have lost a beloved child but for all who have experienced deep grief. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your beautiful sharing of love, trust and hope. The many exercises you also shared will be of great assistance to many. Love and blessings as we all continue our journeys with our loved ones journeying beside us . . . just "a breathe away".
This is a beautiful book to comfort the grieving. Erica is a very wise soul and with the help of her precious Lily who is in spirit, has written a inspirational book of love and wisdom as she clearly sees things from a soul perspective. There is so much helpful, down to earth advice to cope with the ebb and flow of emotions when dealing with the loss of a loved one. Erica is blessed with the knowing that we are eternal beings and our love ones are always around us. She says, "It's not letting go but connecting to spirit that truly heals the grieving heart." This book really resonates with me and I whole heartedly recommend it as it has helped me with understanding that dwelling on painful memories can keep you stuck. Our negative thoughts really do affect our emotional health and well being. There are many exercises to assist with this throughout the book. My Zoe, who is also in spirit, will be pleased to know that I am setting her free and therefore myself free from the tragedy of her passing. She is not there now and only knows love, peace, joy and freedom. Thankyou Erica
Erica Farrimond's beautiful words of a Mother's incredible sorrow, and then profound discoveries is a journey of love and inspiration that invites anyone who is suffering the loss of a loved one to travel a path of love and light. We are invited to take this wonderful journey with Erica and Lily through a Mother's pain and a little girl's outstretched hand until they are so lovingly brought together again through the wonders of the Universe. I felt as though I could touch Lily myself, and I felt the joy Erica so beautifully shares with all of us. I highly recommend this book to all, and I await more love and inspiration from Erica.
Wow. Erica Farrimond gives her entire heart with this book. I know the pain of grieving the loss of my dad, my grandmother and 2 beloved cats. In all cases, as hard as it was and as painful as it was, there is a belief that our parents die before we do and that our pets are ours only temporarily. But losing a 2 year old child to cancer? There is no rational explanation to that. There is no way to justify a loss like that to soothe our pain. However, Erica gives her ALL to do just that.
Soothe your soul from grief is Erica's story of love and loss. I'm not a mother but can guess that a parent's loss is devastating. Erica shares her journey through grief in a way that left me looking at "the big picture." Meaning, that out of loss and hurt, we can grow as human beings. That every pain in our life is necessary for the person we are meant to become. While this might not seem like consolation to a griever, Erica gives SO MUCH MORE. Her belief, that we don't die, and that her dear daughter is still near and she can feel her presence. That her daughter Lily is not suffering, and is instead living in a great place, still her daughter and her soul mate. That we should not fear death but know it is just our souls returning home and we will be together again with our departed loved ones. Erica gives great stories of her own revelations and stories that comforted me.
Even if the above don't ease the pain or soothe you...Erica gives advice from what worked for her, to ease her pain. I know first hand that a mind that can escape from the thoughts of loss can begin to heal. Whether getting creative, being outside in nature, loving a dog, learning to meditate or quiet the mind, creating places of joy....they all help soothe the pain. In fact, there is so much information in this book that the reader has choices. Many things Erica offers to soothe the pain, adding that to her view of the Hereafter and belief our loved ones are not gone, this book is comforting to someone who has had a loss. I recommend it. -Sandra Champlain, author of the #1 international bestseller, We Don't Die - A Skeptic's Discovery of Life After Death
