About Sophie Hudson
Sophie Hudson loves to laugh more than just about anything. She began writing her blog, BooMama.net, in November 2005, and much to her surprise, she's stuck with it. Sophie hopes that through her stories, women find encouragement and hope in the everyday, joy-filled moments of life. In addition to her blog, Sophie speaks regularly to groups across the country and co-hosts The Big Boo Cast. A graduate of Mississippi State University and the author of four books, Sophie loves cheering like crazy at college football games and watching entire seasons of TV shows in record time. She lives with her husband and son in Birmingham, Alabama.

Sophie Hudson, in the delightfully quirky Southern style her readers have come to know and love, sends out a rallying cry for women everywhere to open our eyes and see the people God has put in our lives—whether they’re behind us, beside us, or in front of us. It is such a gift to love one another, walk with one another, and soak up the blessings that flow across all generations.
Saddle up, sister. This is going to be fun.
For much of her career, Sophie has worked with teen girls, so she knows not only their struggles but how to reach their hearts as well. These 100 devotions offer the right balance of wise words, thought-provoking journal prompts, and plenty of Sophie’s trademark wit.
Elegantly designed, this new book will be a sister devotional to Sophie’s first teen journaling devotional, All in All, which has been a strong and consistent seller for B&H. This new collection will have a similar format and feel, but it will focus on grace—God’s grace in the day to day, and His grace in the hard stuff too. Teen girls and young women will read, write, and walk away with tons of encouragement and a new understanding of God’s goodness toward us.
Whenever you face the hard stuff—the pieces and parts of life that keep you up at night, relentlessly reminding you that the “simple and easy” path is somehow a turn you’ve missed along the way —is your first instinct to try to make it all simply go away? You might wonder if it’s possible to just ignore it, or, better yet, to burn it all down.
During a particularly difficult stretch in her own life, Sophie learned that the Lord, through His Word and His people, has already provided all that we need to get up, straighten up, and stand all the way up.
This book is a collection of stories full of humor, sass, and spiritual insight, revealing our God who teaches you to stand up for yourself, stand up for the people you love, stand up for the people who can’t, and stand up for the Kingdom.
Written by popular author and blogger Sophie Hudson, this beautiful devotional journal for teens and young women reminds you that Jesus is your All in All—over all, through all, and in all that you do.
As you dig in to Sophie's words and wit, you'll better understand the wholeness and freedom that come from a life filled with Jesus. Each of the 100 devotions is followed by journaling prompts that will get you writing, keep you thinking, and help you grab all the goodness He has waiting for you.
Written in the same witty style as Sophie’s BooMama blog, A Little Salty to Cut the Sweet is a cheerful, funny, and tender account of Sophie’s very Southern family. It’s a look into the real lives of real people—and a real, loving God right in the middle of it all.
