Though this is López's first story, this isn't my first taste of her. She did not disappoint. Charlotte was frustrating and heartbreaking and human, and I can't be mad at her for that. Everything ended exactly the way it should have. While dealing with tough subjects, López was real and raw. Growing up and falling in love is really hard, especially through Charlotte's eyes. I definitely recommend this story to anyone who is a sucker for first time love.
Are you sick of those books about the controlling crazy rich guy running all over the main female character who acts like a dumb submissive ninny and lets some possessive weirdo do pretty much whatever he wants?
What about those self published books that have little to no editing and spelling/grammatical errors on every other line?
Well, if you are looking for something different than everything else that's out there, look no further. This book is amazeballs. The main female character is damaged, but redeemable and ANYTHING but a doormat. And finally (finally, FINALLY!) there's a love interest that's actually a NICE GUY. He's not a total douche! And he's still HOT and loveable and all those things you want a love interest to be, but he's not perfect.
The plot has some surprise twists that keep you turning pages and the characters are REAL and they make you root for them.
In addition, the writing is GOOD and solid, not something seen frequently in self published works.
Definitely worth a read, you won't be disappointed.
I will tell all of my friends and daughters about this book and to look out for more from this author
I loved it . I laughed and cried I was angry with the father and was happy when she had the chance to express her self and let go of the past...
Our main character goes through a ton of inner turmoil, and ultimately faces the root of her "mess" toward the end of the book.
The supporting characters are strong, and Charlotte's swath of man-destrution is well-explained, and felt by the two leading partners she has.
The plot twists are good. Some are expected, but some are delightfully surprising. The writing itself is very clean and the editing is also.
I love this book! I LOVE IT! The story line is fantastic. I will be reading this again and again!
Just read it already and you too will see whAt I'm saying is true!
