Are you sick of those books about the controlling crazy rich guy running all over the main female character who acts like a dumb submissive ninny and lets some possessive weirdo do pretty much whatever he wants?
What about those self published books that have little to no editing and spelling/grammatical errors on every other line?
Well, if you are looking for something different than everything else that's out there, look no further. This book is amazeballs. The main female character is damaged, but redeemable and ANYTHING but a doormat. And finally (finally, FINALLY!) there's a love interest that's actually a NICE GUY. He's not a total douche! And he's still HOT and loveable and all those things you want a love interest to be, but he's not perfect.
The plot has some surprise twists that keep you turning pages and the characters are REAL and they make you root for them.
In addition, the writing is GOOD and solid, not something seen frequently in self published works.
Definitely worth a read, you won't be disappointed.
I will tell all of my friends and daughters about this book and to look out for more from this author
I loved it . I laughed and cried I was angry with the father and was happy when she had the chance to express her self and let go of the past...
Our main character goes through a ton of inner turmoil, and ultimately faces the root of her "mess" toward the end of the book.
The supporting characters are strong, and Charlotte's swath of man-destrution is well-explained, and felt by the two leading partners she has.
The plot twists are good. Some are expected, but some are delightfully surprising. The writing itself is very clean and the editing is also.
While her short story collection dealt with different aspects of relationships, spanning from quaint to erotic, SORRY'S NOT ENOUGH delves deeper into a far more complex and thorough chronicle of a stormy, long-running battle of emotional wills. At times tender, thoughtful, tense and agonizing, the story never struck me as being typical for the genre (this is not a dig).
I refuse to offer spoilers other than describing both main characters as a couple that is either fated for one another or as stable as nitroglycerin in a paint shaker.
While not as tight or focused as her short stories, and barring some repetition and uneveness in the timeline, I found the book to be an enjoyable read, rating it at 3.5 stars (4 shown for lack of the half star option).
If you are looking for a book that has non-cookie cutter characters with plenty of baggage, and can deal with wanting to slap them both upside the head everyonce in a while, I believe you'll find the story enjoyable. If you're looking for run of the mill romance with every move telegraphed, this may not be for you.
