Carpathia raises the dead; millions in awe. World government, finance, media, religion centralized in New Babylon. Earthquakes, hail, fire devastate globe; billions homeless.
The Tribulation Force undergoes brutal trials as they work to subvert the demonic schemes of the Antichrist. After an earthquake wipes out a quarter of the world’s population, Rayford Steele searches frantically for his wife. What he finds drives him to murderous madness.
Buck Williams rescues as many Trib Force members as he can―including his wife, Chloe―as new believers join the Force. But can the newcomers be trusted?
From deep underground, Tsion Ben-Judah’s Web site attracts millions to the true Messiah. Ben-Judah prepares to meet them in Jerusalem for the much-anticipated Soul Harvest―if Carpathia’s dark forces don’t find him first.

I’m not going to give away any spoilers here but if you’ve read the previous books, you know who I’m talking about! Or at least one of the people I’m talking about- lol! This isn’t a spoiler, but I still don’t trust Hattie Durham at all. And her sobbing revelation to Buck is part of my suspicion, she says she’s done horrible things but won’t say what, I’m afraid I may know what but I won’t say here lol! Can’t wait to start the next one!

What I'm reading
Have you heard of the Left Behind series? Silly question. Of course you have. You're reading about it right now.
I've finally decided I'd read it and "kindled" the book. Mistake. I probably should have taken it out of the library. Think about this. There are twelve-thirteen? books in the series. Each one costs between 5 and 10 dollar a piece. Figuring the usual $10 kindle price, if i were to buy twelve of these, it would (will) run me $120
For a book. That isn't a masterpiece or a piece of antiquity. So what's the draw for people to lay aside their hard-earned and possibly disappearing cash?
It's not that well written. (Sorry Timothy LaHaye) It's simplistic and the characters are not well developed. Plus, redundancies! Don't even get me started.
If they cut all the repetition, they'd probably have a long "The Stand" type novel.
But, the story about the end of times, the coming of the Anti-Christ and the Tribulation; and, it has me hooked.
So my point? Despite all it's deficiencies, it's a darned good story. And, by golly, it's brought my attention back to my bible. (even if it is to Revelations)
A DARN GOOD STORY It's the key every time.
Cheers

I absolutely love the Left Behind Series. I'm behind on the times as far as reading it goes, though my mom used to have the whole series and I just never got around to borrowing them. I've read almost all of the books now. I'm on Kingdom Come and I only have one of the books that was written after the series. Still need to get the other two. I really like how the authors write the stories and it's very riveting. They write a lot based on information they've deciphered in the Bible and one of the characters often quotes, more in some books than others, where they're gathering their own ideas about what's going to happen. They pick quotes from the Bible and more or less make them into plain English for other characters who don't really understand. It's very enlightening.

Soul Harvest is a great take on those left behind getting God's 2nd chance at salvation. LaHaye and Jenkins did an excellent characterization take on all the hero's and villain. The only part of the series that I do not like is ability of the authors to go from one translation to another. I appreciated that when they were talking about "the two witnesses" they used the KJV translation. When quoting other versions I found many verses missing. As a fiction novel they did real well at bringing the horrors to life, I don't believe that there truly is a way to describe what the "Left Behind" will face and LaHaye and Jenkins had a good take on the matter. I recommend this series to everyone.

I was a big fan of horror novels and movies and didn't think religious novels could be very interesting, especially ones with a fundamentalist message. But this liberal is eating dirt and buying one after another. Soul Harvest is about the conversion of millions after the Rapture. A converted rabbi and scholar is beaming lessons from a hidden computer which the frustrated Antichrist can't find. There is all sorts of excitement as the Christians try to avoid the forces of the Global Community. I don't want to give too much away. Just start reading with the first prequel, The Rising: The Antichrist is Born or with the first book in the series, Left Behind: A Novel of Earth's Last Days.

Each book is a little more action packed than the last. It makes it difficult to put it down! Although I would refer this series to anyone, religious or not, I do have to admit it has opened my mind to the Bible and what is written in it. I find myself with all these questions that I have deep desire to find answers to...why are Jews considered the "chosen ones?" Which religion is this series based on and what are the differences between all these religions that seem so similar?...and so much more.
Soul Harvest was action packed and engrossing. It was filled with deadly hail, devastating earthquakes, balls of fire, meteors, and more. You won't want to put it down. Well worth your time.

This is a good, interesting and action packed series of books that I’m enjoying, just be aware if you are a sensitive reader that there is quite a bit of graphic violence, imagery of blood, injuries, etc. that can be hard to read at times, but I am still enjoying this exciting series!

I really enjoyed this fourth book in the Left Behind Series, and found it better-written than the second and third books in the series. In the second and third books, there was a lot of rehashing and repetition about what had happened in the first book (for new readers who might be picking up that book alone, not have read the earlier books).
This book is packed full of action. Several characters die (but not the core group, obviously). Nicolae becomes highly suspicious of Buck and Rayford. A spy, apparently planted by Nicolae or Fortunado, is discovered in the midst of the Tribulation Force.
It leaves me eager to go out and buy the next book, especially as regards the spy, and what that spy has transmitted to the enemy.

Excellent read!

As a non-religious person I knew very little about the Christian beliefs concerning the 'Rapture' and 'Christ's Second Coming'. I also felt a series based in religion would hold very little interest for me. How wrong I was!!! The books are fast paced, exciting and real page turners. The characters are believable and you find yourself immersed in their stories, wanting them to survive. I also learnt a huge amount and found myself considering what the Bible foretells, wondering if there actually is some truth to it. The 'Left Behind' series commanded my interest, fascinated me and changed my perspective on religion. I would recommend this series to believers and to those who may be sceptical (like I was) but who are willing to approach this with an open mind and a preparedness to be taught something as well as enjoying a fascinating read. Excellent series and extremely talented authors who know what they're talking about.

This is one of a series that needs to be read in order

The whole series makes you realise that Christ's second coming could be at any moment and challenges us to make sure we are prepared for it. From reading the first book in the series of 16, I couldn't put them down. This series although just a novel shows how scripture tells clearly of this time in earth's history and what it will possibly be like for those "Left behind" when God takes those who love Jesus to himself. An exciting series for both Christians and Non-Christians alike.Read and you won't be disappointed.
