I "bought" the first book when I noticed it on the top 100 free books. I was instantly hooked. I purchased this, knowing I would need to read all of them, and it did NOT disappoint! It is a HUGE emotional roller coaster. One second, I am laughing, then I'm swooning over the romance and 5% later I am thinking, "WHAT THE HELL?!" There are so many twists and turns you won't know if you are up or down. The growth that the characters go through is amazing. I enjoy the different aspects of "good vs. evil" and find myself not caring about either side. I'm rooting for Alexis and Tristan. Period. I know it's a good book when I am making dinner for my family and have my Kindle leaning on the counter so I can continue reading. It is wonderfully written and I am looking forward to reading the next book. (Which I already bought...)
Very short review, I will rate this 10 stars if it went that high. The is a beautiful story of love, loss, pain and revenge. Cant say must about it with out ruining the the stories. Its a must read for older teens and any age after that. Be warned it does get you blood pumping, with every chapter you will read.
Wonderfull series. I just finish book #5 and hope there's a six. Alexis and Tristan love is the kind of love everybody dreams about. You feel there love, pain and every emotion like is yours. Love it!!!!
Well, I bought five books, and the novella in the series. I believed all the hype in the reviews. I seriously regret doing both. I am halfway through the second novel and it is all I can do to force myself to continue. Soul Savers? So far there has been only the slightest hint of anything other than a bitchy teenage girl who has the hots for a man who obviously has no taste in women. The entire first book is Lexi's lusting after Tristan until FINALLY they do it. (Spoilers, but hey, the entire book is rotten) At the end, Tristan is supposedly killed. I actually felt relieved that maybe now we could get on with a maybe not so great but at least some kind of a plot. Oh, but no! So far, the second book is all about Lexi's complete inability to get over her dead husband and move on with her life. SEVEN YEARS! Seven years later, she is still making trouble for everyone and expecting to be the sole recipient of all the pity she can wring out of the world. I tell myself to throw this crap to the wind and move on to another book but I keep giving it the benefit of the doubt. If I have a fatal flaw, that is it. I have never been so bored by a book in my life.
I absolutely Love every book in this series! Kristie Cook makes you fall in love with her characters! She has built an intricate world that I got completely lost in! In an absolutely fantastic way, of course. Alexis grows more as a person throughout each book, and emerges as a force to be reckoned with. Tristan is such a well developed character, that when he has dialogue in the books, I can honestly hear him saying it in my head! (Melt!!) He is, by far, my go to book boyfriend. I have and will continue to recommend this series to anyone that will listen. This is an adult series, language and steamy scenes throughout, but that was part of what I loved. Once I read Genesis, (the novella) there were so many questions answered, and so many "oh, No wonder this happened, or That's why this is the way it is". I wasn't sure that I would be as impressed with the novella because I am so in love with the characters in the novels, but I was so wrong! I was drawn in right away, and just as deeply! Thank you Kristie Cook, for sharing your world with me, and for introducing me to Tristan! <3
