A little angst and a few screw ups can be expected, but this heroine was like a ping-pong ball in 'well matched professional game', back n forth n ALL over the table faster then the eye (reader) can keep up with.
I have one of this author's Xmas stories to read, then I think I'll leave any more of this author's books to the 'Young Adults'. I really can't fully enjoy a book who's heroine or hero are as unstable/unsuitable as portrayed in these stories.
Because these stories had other characters that I really liked, plots with tons of imagination, and basically well written stories, I'm giving a 3 star rating.
THIS IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE A VERY PASSIONATE REVIEW. I KNOW THAT ITS JUST A BOOK, AND ITS NOT REAL, BUT I ALWAYS GET SO LOST IN BOOKS THAT I GET CAUGHT UP IN THE DRAMA.
I love reading, I have read a ton of books, different types, read all different types of characters etc.
This series frustrated me so much and gave me headaches. Amelia, the lead character, oh my I just wanted to kill her myself. I hated her and still do. She never listens, thinks she knows everything, tries to "fix" things and makes them worse. She argues, makes crazy assumptions, dumb choices and judges. Everything is her fault, if she would have just have listened and maybe, I don't know, not act crazy all the dang time, things would have worked out. She was dumb, didn't do things until it was to late and then regretted waiting, turned around and did the same thing later on. Its like jeez, did you not learn your lesson?? Gosh by the end of this book I wanted to throw my kindle, i was so angry at her and how she acted. UGH!
I hate characters like that, I love strong female leads and forbidden love, soul mates, etc. BUT I cannot stand characters that are just plane ignorant and makes everything worse because they think they know whats best and assume things that aren't there. I want characters that listen and see things from all points of views.
