About the Author
After years in the corporate world, Barbara Pietron found herself with a second chance to decide what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her lifetime love of books and the written word returned one answer: writer.
Pietron’s Book One of the Legacy in Legend series, Thunderstone (Scribe Publishing Company, 2013), was a finalist for Indiefab’s 2013 Young Adult Book of the Year by Foreword Reviews, and in 2012 Thunderstone was a quarter-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest. As such, Barbara won a full manuscript review from Publishers Weekly, which called Thunderstone “…well-written and entertaining,” adding that “… Jeni makes for a likeable protagonist that readers will identify with.”
Pietron also wrote a stand-alone novel, Soulshifter (Scribe Publishing Company, 2015), and a prequel to the Legacy in Legend series, Heart of Ice (e-book only, Scribe Publishing Company, 2014). She has been a contributing writer for AAA Living and Family Fun. Find out more at www.barbarapietron.com.

At first, I wasn't sure what I was getting into --a book about a cult novel? Much to my delight, it was not. The auth has myths incorperated in the writing. You will find some twists and turns that you don't expect. It is an exciting story as at times I didn't know what was going to happen next. I hope there is another book -- a sequel as it didn't answer all the questions that I still have. Enjoy this novel. I did!
Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book free from the author/publisher from Netgalley. I was not obliged to write a favorable review, or even any review at all. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.
I liked the story though I think it is kind of left me hanging in the end. If there would be a book 2 for this, I would be happy to know it.
The concept is really great. Some parts are really exciting and it is fun that we get some view of what Zalnic’s lair looked like.
I just don’t like how some parts seems not elaborated or told enough. Sometimes, I also skipped some sentences to get to the point.
The characters are amazing! Especially Jack. But, how I wish he just told the other Gods what Zalnic’s been doing so he won’t have much sweat and effort wasted and of course, the story will not be that fun anymore if it happens.
Overall, this book is an interesting read. I’d got to enter another realm full of adventure. This is recommended to all adventure and fantasy lover. And of course, if you like mythologies, this will work for you too.
