I feel awful that I have had Sound Advice on my kindle for a while and just now getting to it. I loved it. How can you no fall in love with Jess. (where do I get one?) His sweet little princess Katie and Emily who is just too sweet and polite. I loved them all and all the side characters. (right now I'm taking a break from readin the second book in the Sensations Collections to type this up, so my mind is a all over the place) Its amazing that this is a debut novel, its so well written and oh just an amazing book. If your reading this you are already interested in this book so just get it and read it. You will be like me in the end asking yourself why you didn't get to it sooner.
Then we have the opposite hero. Jess was a total gentleman, but mean at first. He won me over regardless of the long hair. Lol. Ladies Jon me in thus trip of meeting a single dad that had to deal with circumstances out of his control. You will grow to admire this man, feel for him, be annoyed with him, and wish he would stop confusing us. Oh, and he is so romantic and passionate. Definitely swoon worthy moments.
But the two characters that helped create this story and make what it is are nana and Katie. You will love them, sigh over the situations, find yourself on edge wondering what will happened next. Oh and I love the touch of the etiquette references that nana provided. I enjoyed how the author incorporated the as part of the chapters, a leading path.
I am glad I picked it up, and read it. Something drew me to this book. Hope you guys enjoy it as well. 😊
Jess is absolutely my dream guy right now. I'm telling you, I'm totally jealous of Emily!!
I can't wait for the next book in this series!
I'm a mess, Sound Advice for me was a big emotional rollercoaster. It had so much depth, mixed with many emotions I felt right down to my bones. It just sucks you in until you feel everything the characters do. The writing was great and the storyline was creative. A real life fairy tale. If you like fairy tales and happily ever afters you'll love this one.
I don't want to go into too much detail as the littles thing could spoil it and I really don't want to do that. You need to be able to experience the whole book without knowing anything going in. I think that's part of why I enjoyed it so much, I didn't know what to expect. I didn't read any reviews before reading it and I'm glad as think it would have spoiled it for me.
All the characters were lovable. They were easy to like and all gave something to the story, they were all important. When so many different characters are involved sometimes it's hard to feel connected but you do, with each and every one.
Favourites, Katie was definitely my fav, I couldn't help but fall in love with her. I liked Sue Carpenter too, she was a big help to Emily and just a generally nice person. Jess Carter was swoon worthy but moody as hell which of course made it more fun.
Sound Advice is a story of love, power, happiness, grief and magic. If you read romance you'll love this. I wish there was more to it, especially towards the end. I wasn't ready to let Emily and Jess go.
