From the Manufacturer
Enjoy your music and answer phone calls with just one click. The P311 Bluetooth headset is ideal for people on-the-go. Connect it with the UD1 or the UD2 to make it compatible with your notebook and PC as well.
Wireless and Free
The P311 works seamlessly with any gadget that supports Bluetooth technology such as mobile phones and notebooks. You can also use it with your PC by simply connecting it with ARCTIC's USB dongle of UD1 and UD2. With a range of up to 30 meters, this headset gives you full flexibility without disturbing people around you. The integrated lithium-ion battery lasts up to 20 hours of music playback before it needs to be recharged via USB.
The UD2 allows three people to share music at the same time. The chipset is optimized for CD-quality music transmission.
Thanks to the five functional buttons integrated into the right earcup, you always have full control over your music. You can start/pause/skip music tracks, answer incoming phone calls, and control volume levels.
Outstanding Audio Quality
The integrated 28mm drivers excel in high fidelity. Whether it's rock, jazz, or classical, all different genres of music can be enjoyed without any compromise. Thanks to the outstanding bass, this headset enriches your listening experience when listening to your favorite music or when watching a movie. The good signal-to-noise-ratio of 95dB of the integrated amplifier guarantees the best digital sound.
Versatile and Comfortable
The soft earcups and the supra-aural design not only provide a comfy fit, they also isolate your ears from exterior noise. Thanks to its light weight of only 71g, the headset doesn't become uncomfortable, even after long periods of use. This makes the P311 perfect for sports, as it doesn't get loose while jogging or biking. The device can conveniently be stored inside the included travel case for travelling purposes. And the integrated microphone enables all forms of voice communications, such as MSN and Skype from your PC.

-cool design, feels rugged. lasted me 2.5 years before the buttons crapped out on me. The earpieces didn't quite fit in my ear canal. The battery life wasn't the greatest - toward the end of its life, I would use it for about 3 gym sessions before I would have to recharge it.
-signal was so-so. The headphones would cut out intermittently for no apparent reason. Frustrating.
-sound quality: definitely content with it, didn't blow me away but was perfect for the gym. Sometimes heard a little distortion at higher volumes.
Arctic Sound P311
-initial impression: boy these felt cheap! I opened them up and immediately commented on the fact that the case felt higher quality than the phones. The phones were light, the buttons felt of a cheap plastic build. BUT the padding that goes against the ears did seem well made, and make them really comfortable to wear.
-after 2 weeks of use, I truly fell in love with them. I realized that although they felt like cheap plastic, I could actually picture them holding up to quite some abuse. Maybe this is attributable to the simple design of the buttons. I've been using them exclusively at the gym and they stay on the head very well.
-sound quality: pretty good. Didn't blow me away, but the more I used them the more I thought the sound improved. Absolutely content with the sound for the gym and for casual listening.
-battery life: WOAH. Blows my old motorola S9's away. I still haven't charged them yet, and I have probably 12+ hours of use on them.Read more ›
With Motorola being such a brand name and quite a bit of good reviews some may ask why I didnt go with them. Looking at them via images, they looked uncomfortable and the speaker/driver looked rather small. They did however look like they were more thought out as in user control (where the buttons were placed) & I their audio line for quality never excited me. Plus they were a few bucks more.
These headphones in the images looked a bit more comfy and like the speaker/drivers were built for sound (for $30). I was going off of other peoples reviews about it being compatible to iphone 4 at least just connecting to listen to music since thats all I wanted.
When they were delivered I immediately tested them out. I was really surprised by how they sound.Read more ›
One thing I immediately noticed with these headphones is the exceptional sound quality which was a little surprising to find in this price range. Getting them paired up with my iPod Touch was dirt simple, everything worked the first time with no issues. Also paired them up to my BB because you can use these to take phone calls also.
My biggest complaint with these is the neckband could be a little longer. If you are going to be mostly stationary while using them then it's fine. However if you will be exercising with them or doing something where you're turning your head a lot then you will have problems with them slipping off your ears. The only other complaint I have, and this will sound stupid, but they smell funny...especially the case. I guess it is something to do with a material used in making them. It's not unbearable and I don't notice it all the time though.
The performance pros:
The sound quality was better than I expected considering the low cost. Strong detail to my ear, sufficient bass, excellent volume, and extended playing time on a charge.
The performance cons: You'll see it mentioned in many of the reviews that the neck band is tight. This is absolutely true. They seem designed for a very small head, and will pull on your ears causing discomfort. I wore them approximately 4-5 days a week, sometimes for 6 hours at a stretch while at work, for over 3 months and there was never any give in the neck band--but it still wasn't a deal breaker.
While the skip back and skip forward buttons on the Motorola also offered seeking if held down, the buttons on the Arctic Sound do not. No seeking, just skip, despite the A2DP profile.
At first, the range was just great. I could get 30 feet of distance before drop-outs (paired with my Cowon J3 COWON J3 16 GB Portable Media Player (Black). In the last month, though, that completely changed.Read more ›

Good products for the price but has its faults in that the microphone is by your ear, not your mouth.Published 11 months ago by Jo Clarke
