Musical, powerful and oh-so-thin, DASH7
Superior sound quality from a stylish ultra-flat portable soundbar/speakerphone. Ideal for all tablets, smartphones, laptops and more. Unlike other companies, Soundmatters actually designs its speakers from scratch, and unlike other portable speaker systems, foxL is engineered around a pair of expensive highly sophisticated acoustic drivers, unique in their ability to reproduce both extreme high (tweeter) and low (woofer) frequencies from a single very small diameter (25mm) speaker, dubbed the "Twoofer".

Built-in Noise Canceling Microphone Adds Speakerphone Capability
Sometimes a phone call can be music to your ears. Multi-tasking while talking to dad, or an impromptu conference call, DASH7's Bluetooth echo/noise canceling microphone provides clarity to your calls. Answer, terminate, reject, or transfer a call back to your phone all from your DASH7.
Patented Twoofers and BassBattery
Shockingly good sound and up to 12 hours of battery life. DASH7 incorporates the most advanced highest performance version of Soundmatters legendary Twoofers (tweeters that also woof), these pancake-flat ultra power neodymium drivers provide an uniquely wide frequency range and are augmented by our patented rechargeable BassBattery which not only delivers up to 12 hours of playback but augments the powered Twoofers by ingeniously doubling as a passive bass woofer. The result - over 8 octaves of music reproduction (for spec-hounds, that 70Hz-20kHz +/-3dB @0.5m).
Connect to all your favorite devices.
Soundmatters didn’t invent the Bluetooth speaker, just the ones that sound good. For streaming music, or a wireless phone call, DASH7 provides great sound and extended Bluetooth listening range. ..connects to smart phones, tablets, laptops and more*. It's also great for sharing video chats via iChat, Skype, and more. No Bluetooth capability? Want even better sound? Connect the included audio cable to your device’s 1/8-inch / 3.5mm headphone jack. * With standard Bluetooth v2.1 A2DP compatibility
Only 3/4 inch High it Disappears Below Tablets!
Big sound from a small speaker size. The DASH7 is only 0.75 inches high, 7.5 Inches wide and 2.1 inches in depth. It delivers incredible audio in a portable wireless speaker so compact you will be shocked!
Take your DASH even deeper by Adding a foxLO Subwoofer
Create the ultimate desktop or travel-friendly full-range audio system. DASH7 and Soundmatters foxLO Palm-Sized Powered Subwoofer, B00AY58IIC, -combine to create a "have to be heard to be believed" full-range stereo system with extended bass response down another full octave (to 38Hz @ . 5m). Or quickly detach the sub, and DASH slides into your pocket or purse. Note: foxLO's tiny chassis/big built-in amp means there's no built-in battery so it needs wall power.
Aim for the Sky or Face the Music
DASH7 defies conventional wisdom about sound. Wherever, whenever---DASH7 turns your tablet, phone or laptop into a personal amphitheater. For a full movie experience, it nests in front of your tablet (without blocking the screen) . .. or provides omni-directional sound anywhere. For critical high-resolution listening. Aim it on-axis with your ears, by turning the included case into an angled stand.

Instead realize that the Dash 7 is without a doubt the most portable personal speaker you will get. With it you are getting clear mids and highs with incredible bass output for the design and space allowed with an incredible Battery of 12 hours. I personally have gotten 10 hours but that may be due to listening at higher volumes and using an eq app to fine tune it for my liking. It fits in my pocket and can be carried literally anywhere with the weight of 7.7 ounces. Bass can be improved by what surface you are on. Wood Tables are great for this.,But even then it is not going to thump.. more like add better bass definition to the song.
Another thing is the nice case/stand. If you lay the lower flap flat instead of angled it doesnt fall even during heavy bass as others have complained about. The case is a nice touch. I wish there was a holster of some kind to carry it on my hip. Yet it slips into my pocket easily. It charges with the included barrel tip faster, than the micro usb slot.( It is noted that when plugged in, the speaker is better able to boost the bass. Or so it is noted online on the website. ) Yet for me being able to use my micro usb charger from my android phone is a nice touch and less cables to carry. The Dash can aloo charge with portable battery I carry via one of the usb outputs. The MIni and a33 have dedicated chargers that need a wall outlet. This may be something to consider if you are away from an outlet.
The sound is truly excellent for the size of this mighty speaker.Just realize the limitations of it. You will get distortion at highest volumes though and with some tones just due to the size and design. That is going to be natural. Still,It is Amazing. Simple and plain.
I own the TDK a33 and Sounlink mini, with the sound preference for me going to the A33 but it isnt as portable as the Soundlink mini. Yet as good as the soundlink mini sounds it is heavy, still more portable though than the tdk .. but it lacks definition of the highs and muddies the mids. Another annoying thing about the Bose is when I play Music in bluetooth there is a stutter that is annoying. every 15 seconds or so it occurs. I am hoping a future update will adress this issue as My Note 3 with the Dash 7 and TDK do not have this problem, It is weird. Still the Soundlink mini is incredible even with all the nit picks I have.
The TDK is excellent at all volumes with great bass from highest volumes to the lowest. It is just a brick though. Still it is water and dirt resistant and we use it to play music in the house and backyard as it can be pushed without distorting at higher volumes unlike the soundlink mini. The weakpoint was the use of the ni-cad batteries in the a33. The a34 (which is the updated a33 model) adressed this issue with li-ion.
In ending this, the soundmatters has become my daily Speaker to carry with me, replacing the bose just due to its sound and portablity. I can live without the deeper bass for awhile. Where the A33 is used at home or camping now. I use the mini when I do art work or bills now mostly.
I also got the Dash 7 when it was at a low price of 166 on amazon. So that was a nice steal.
All kidding aside, I had some problems when I first got the little critter, and I called the company directly instead of sending it back to Amazon because I live in the woods and bluetooth and wifi can be a problem here. I was figuring that the problem was on my end (and it was), but customer service was ever so great and they sent me a new one just to be sure (sure enough when they got mine back it worked just fine). I love giving credit to a great company - with a staggeringly great product.
I bought this Soundmatters Bluetooth speaker to solve the problem and it did. I charged the battery (4 AC international plug adapters come with the device), red light to green light, rebooted my SP4 (cleared its brains), paired the speaker (hold down the pair button for six seconds until you get an alternating flashing blue and yellow light) and the devices pair. The foxL also allows me to plug in my phone without using Bluetooth.
The quality of the speaker and attachments (lots of cables and plug adapters) are superb and so is the packaging. The only downside is that this wonderful device (sorry, I'm in love) is being liquidated without warranty but with a 30 day return option. To solve the problem, I bought a 4 year warranty from Amazon. I hope I never have to use it.
