First, there is a variety of healthy soups included. However, most of the soups include some ingredients that are not raw vegan... like steamed potatoes, milk or soy milk, chicken bouillon and more. If you're looking for raw recipes... this isn't a good choice. If you're interested in soup recipes that have more healthy enzymes than traditional soups... this may be a good choice for you.

Easy one-page soup recipes literally made of vegetables from A to Z. Asparagus to Zucchini and everything in between. Although the author suggests barely cooking the vegetables, I've thrown the vegetables into a pressure cooker and cooked until mushy. The author's method is preferred, I am sure, but folks suffering from various ailments who need their vegetables cooked well will find that these vegetable soups still taste great with more cooking. Plenty of choices for lactose intolerant stomaches, folks with chewing issues, bowel maladies, etc.

The author uses potatoes as a thickening agent for many of the recipes ... when I've been in a rush or out of potatoes, I've used instant potatoes and the soups have tasted great. I just LOVE this soup recipe book. Anyone can modify any of the recipes to make it their own.

I found this book in a bookstore years ago. I bought about 10 books to give every household in my family for Christmas. Years later I found it on Amazon.com and I bought a few used copies to give out to friends -- warning: borrowers never return it -- you need more than one copy.

Get this soup recipe book. It is very much worth it. My favorite recipe is Broccoli Honey Mustard soup .... yummmm!

I've been making vegetarian soups from this book for many years, and every recipe turns out tasty and healthy. Fresh combinations of ingredients work to produce surprisingly delightful flavors. Each vegetable is used in more than one way, and each recipe is a variation on the recipe preceding it. The variety of vegetables used will surprise and please anyone who is committed to bringing more vegetables into the diet.

Though the recipes are vegetarian, and barely cooked, I have modified them on occasion by using meat or chicken broth, as well as grains. Every way I've made these recipes has been successful.

This is a no-nonsense book, without pictures, and terse commentary. it focuses intently upon the use of many and various vegetables in all the usual as well as unusual combinations.

I bought two more copies of this book to give to people who would appreciate it.
