I was very pleasantly surprised by the taste. Mocha, a combination of chocolate and coffee flavors, is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream, so I thought I'd probably enjoy this flavor of granola bar and I did. It has a distinct mocha flavor. It is also chewy (and a little gooey due to the caramel layer) and a little crunchy. I rarely ever buy granola bars, but I liked these quite a bit!
As far as these Fiber Fit bars go, they taste pretty good, and do have a lot of fiber. They also have fractionated oil and a few other crappy things, but all in all this is at least relatively close to a healthy piece of food, by corporate standards at least. Of course anyone really serious about health will buy organic, but this is at least better than much of the pseudo-food coming out of the laboratories--sorry, "kitchens"--of American mega-biz companies.
I noticed the last time I gave a so-so rating to a food product that I wasn't offered any more for months on the Vine Program. I guess I was red-flagged for not drinking the kool-aid and for presenting an honest opinion. Nice to get another chance, and I will give Kraft props for presenting a semi-healthy health bar. But why not make it organic, folks? It's mostly grains and those are relatively cheap when organic, and SO much healthier than the Roundup-laden stuff that isn't organic.
I'm loving that agribiz is scrambling to appear to care about America's health after feeding us carcinogens and maximum dumb-down swill for decades (look at our current situation...think the dumbing-down worked? Like a charm!). Well, they're starting to pull the HFCS from their crap, somewhat, so maybe our dollars really do speak. But in the meantime smart folks are buying organic and shopping for locally grown foods. How long before we stop agribiz from destroying all our topsoil with their toxic chemical-laden "farming"? Better be soon, we're losing that soil mighty fast.Read more ›
ѾѾѾѾ Recommended with warm fuzzies.
These "Fiber Fit" bars make a great fiber-rich filling snack for those with a sweet tooth. Just be aware that the 9 grams of fiber that you get in every bar can also be accomplished in a more healthy way by eating two apples or pears, or three bananas, or a cup of blackberries.

ѾѾѾѾѾ Excellent 5-fuzzies feature ratings:
ѾѾѾѾѾ Each 35-gram bar has 9 grams of dietary fiber. Having never eaten such a fiber-loaded snack bar before, I was deceived by the small size of a bar and when I received the box from Amazon in the afternoon between lunch and dinner, I proceeded to eat three bars within a one-hour period. After accompanying the three bars with a glass of water, an hour later, I realized just how overly-stuffed I felt and ended up eating a lighter-than-usual dinner about two hours later than I usually eat dinner. So if you are looking for something to fill you up in between meals, this will do it! Just don't eat several of these bars in one sitting like I did, and give your stomach some time to register to the brain that it is full!
ѾѾѾѾ Good 4-fuzzies feature ratings:
ѾѾѾѾ The bars have a soft, creamy, chewy, smooth, almost-gooey texture. I usually expect (and personally prefer) something that is advertised as a "granola bar" to be a bit crunchier and nutty in texture and flavor, but these bars have good flavor... almost tasting more like a chocolate bar. The "mocha" flavor is accomplished by combining cocoa with instant coffee.Read more ›

These bars are very tasty--a coffee-like flavor. They are also just about the right size, and a nice holdover. They don't feel like diet bars, either. Try 'em!Published on October 15, 2009 by DukeOfEarl
