This product is cheap, and that is what you get! After maybe 3-4 uses the bottom drawer fell apart. If I had the energy I would try and return it but its not worth the hassle!

I never write reviews. Never. I buy just about everything on Amazon --- quite a bit of which has been furniture that needs assembling. This dresser is ridiculous. You have to force EVERY SINGLE screw to try to line up with the pre-drilled holes. Every. Single. One. Not to mention the fact that you don't get all the pieces you need to assemble it. Obviously this doesn't happen to everyone --- but it shouldn't happen to anyone. And believe me, I'm at IKEA like every weekend so this isn't my first Swedish rodeo.

There's not much more to say. Here's a picture of where the dresser is now. I'm going to try to get a refund since the pieces I was sent do not become a dresser. I don't want the replacement pieces. I wanted the right pieces the first time - with holes drilled in the right places.

This is the first time I've ever felt like writing a snarky review because of some of the negative reviews posted about this.

The package arrived undamaged. When I pulled the pieces out, all were unscratched and packaged very well. Assembly was not difficult. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being extremely easy, this was maybe a 3, high 2. I put it together myself in less than two hours. I am 4'11 and weigh around 100 lbs. I had to push the box into my living room, and would not have been able to carry it fully assembled to where I wanted it, which was downstairs in my basement. Instead I took it down in pieces as I assembled and put the drawers in when it was already in place. The hardest part was actually lining up the drawers at the end to slide into the rails.

For the reviews that are a little harsh - you are buying a $50 piece of furniture that is shipped to you in a box in pieces. It is particle board. The back is cardboard, which you do not see anyway. If you can read and comprehend pictures, you can put this together with little issue. I would buy this again at even $100.

The finish is easily scratched. If you are going to put in your living room, be very careful putting it together. There was a screw under one of the pieces and I dragged it along as I picked it up and it did scratch. Also, the finish on the middle drawer is peeling, but this is because I roughed it up so much trying to get the top drawer in. Upon investigating further, I did not have the rail pushed in all the way.

The rails are plastic. If you want metal, invest a little more money. The directions say to pound these in with a hammer, with a little tool they provide that acts as a buffer. You do not need to and should not pound hard.

I read all the other reviews AFTER I bought the unit and I was expecting some smelly thing to arrive and stink up my house. I did smell something that I could best describe as a "new dresser" smell, but it was not bad and the very next day I did't smell anything at all. That being said, let's get to the building process. I got the drawers put together with no problem at all, but when it came to building the frame, that's where I ran into problems. I don't think it is because of the item itself, because the instructions are pretty clear and it all goes together kind of the same way the junk you get from Ikea does. My problem came in trying to put the bottom together and I was doing it alone, so when I got one side together and tried to attach the other side, it fell apart and broke. I am going to contact the manufacturer and see if they will replace the broken piece. The next problem arose as I got the whole thing together (finally) and tried to put the drawers in. You have to precisely get the plastic piece on the drawers to fit into the plastic pieces on the frame. On each drawer I was able to get one side in but not the other and it took me like a half hour just to get the drawers to go in correctly. I will admit that I have a bad back and my vision is not so great, so again, the problem may have been me and not the unit. After it was all done I stepped back and looked at it and marveled over what a cheap piece of junk it was. But at the end of the day, it fit perfectly in the space I had bought it for (I bought it to fit inside of my son's closet to store his underwear and socks) and the drawers open and close ok.Read more ›

I don't know if I got the worst one in stock, but there were so many problems with this dresser, I don't even know where to start. When I took it out of the box, each piece had a layer of sawdust on it, which smelled terrible and did not go away after rubbing everything down with a wet towel.

Each part of the dresser was extremely poor quality. The screws, plastic sliders, and even wooden panels all easily broke or chipped when I was assembling the dresser. The wood was smudged by my fingers (which were perfectly clean), but the smudges would not wash off. The metal handles for the drawers weren't even polished.

The dresser has numerous thin pieces of cardboard and wood that are fixed together using long nails. Most of the thicker panels are fixed together with a single screw. Not surprisingly, the assembled dresser wobbled because there was just not enough support holding everything together.

Needless to say I won't be keeping this and I highly recommend that everyone pick another dresser.
