I have tried about 10 so far, with perfect results. The stories and pictures are terrific, and I admit to being a CMT fan, so that makes the book all the more special.
The Amazon price was BETTER than a well known Television Shopping Network, and I was happy to get the book on the day of publication, with Amazon Prime.
Southern Living tends to have the best cookbooks ( in my opinion ) and this one is a great addition to an already diverse library.
Nothing here is "hard" to make, but it is all GOOD.
Well worth consideration as a gift for those "hard to buy for". They will love it, and you will too!
I did try the Berry Cobbler and it was delicious. I am going to try it with other fruits as well. I know I'll enjoy this book for a long time. Great work on presentation and recipes.
I love the photos and the info on the artists is a nice added bonus. Some I would've left out because either they're unknowns or they were one hit wonders.
Amy Grant's pot roast must be awesome because it's been featured several times in several magazines and cook books (one of which I have already) and perhaps a different recipe could've been put in it's place.
Made the no bake cookies which half turned out because it was missing the one ingredient that holds no bake cookies together (peanut butter) I understand it was made in mind for those with tree nut allergies but if you make it look up the recipe online and ad peanut butter to it so your not ending up with alot of crumbles. It was great on ice cream though which is a great use for that. Also I'd use almond milk instead of soy since soy isn't good for you.
Honey chicken was pretty good just hold the sauce and find something else. Maybe it's because I'm just not a fan of soy sauce....
There are several in there I cannot wait to make and the great thing I like is it's not expensive. All the recipes seem to be reasonable in price for the ingretients needed.
Yes I would recommend this to a friend.
