I especially loved that both Kam and Laney had their own hopes and aspirations for the future and that even when they were apart, they lived their lives. I'm tired of the stories of the celibate heroine who waits patiently while the hero sows his wild oats before coming back. Neither was perfect, but I respected Laney a lot for seeing what was happening and making a decision that allowed them both to take time and grow up. If they had forced the relationship, no matter how much they loved each other, it wouldn't have likely lasted or their would be resentful feelings.
This was a great short and sexy read and left me with a smile on my face as I turned the last page.
When Kam’s whole world gets rocked, it’s Laney who helps him truly recover and see life through a different perspective. And we get to really fall in love with a Kam that isn’t only sweet and charming, but sincere and caring and truly a lovable rascal who deserves all the good in the world. They made the cutest couple. And I loved how the author wrote the significance of football for Kam, it’s so potent and definitely took on a life of its own.
With book two, I was so upset that these two had parted ways. It was such a realistic break up, no overdramatized reasons, just the realization that dreams sometimes need to be seen all the way through without any distractions. And being committed is hard when you’re being pulled in every which way. I liked that the author didn’t make Laney into a bitter woman. She never forgot her time or the loved shared with Kam, but she moved on. Kam went back to the playboy she remembered in high school. But they weren’t mean to one another, just a bit awkward at first, but then gradually came around again as friends. It felt genuine.
This relationship is constantly having their foundation tested. By jealousy, trust, outside forces beyond your control and maybe even bad timing. But underneath it all they truly care and respect one another and the need and want never vanished. It only intensified over time. Love, love, love that Kam is no cheater. Once Laney is his, it’s like he has blinders on and there is and only ever will be Laney for him. It’s all consuming. They make each other better.
I loved everything about this series. It was fun, funny, had great characters and supporting characters, great love of football and portraying the spellbound love these two had. For them it was a once in a lifetime kind of love and they had to fight for it and also forgive each for not fighting hard enough when the going gets tough. It’s so, so so good!!
In the first part, Laney’s dad has moved the two of them back to his hometown in Alabama for her senior year of high school where she meets Kam, the all star quarterback. Laney is attracted to Kam but she does not want to have anything to do with Kam who has decided after a three year relationship to just play the field in his senior year. Kam wants Laney from the moment he sees her and is determined to get her. After a football injury, Laney becomes Kam’s tutor and their relationship blossoms from there. When Kam believes his football career is over, Laney is the one who sees him through.
The second part of the book follows Kam and Laney into college where they end up splitting up in their freshman year because Kam is always so busy with football that he is never there for Laney when she needs him. In their senior year, the two are in a class together and the chemistry between them is just as strong. When a scandal hits, Laney is once again there for Kam. Kam is determined not to let Laney go this time.
The third part of this book follows Kam and Laney into life after school where Kam is drafted into the NFL and Laney begins her career along with dealing with Kam’s fame. I loved both of these characters. I loved how Laney kept Kam grounded and when everyone else wanted Kam for his star status, he knew that Laney loved him as a person and could care less about his fame. The story flows really well and makes for a quick read. I highly recommend this one!

I absolutely love M Never books and this brilliant book definitely didn't disappoint me.
The story is so good it had my attention so much that I read it in one sitting without realising the time.
Everything happening around me stopped and I was completely hooked on this story.
This is a sweet tale of young love with a whole lot of HOT and some angst thrown in for good measure.
I really enjoyed Lacey and Kamdyn's story and it was plain to see that they were made for each other even when life got in the way and shook everything up.
It was also nice to see how they progressed in their friendship/relationship and in their lives.
Both were fantastic characters and their undeniable chemistry just set this book on fire.
This is definitely a best seller.
I highly recommend you one click this book when you can.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this brilliant book.
Well done M.Never x
I love nothing more than a book that starts in High School, moves to college and ends with adulthood. For me as reader I feel like I get closure for my charators that I fall in love with. Yes I know many authors write like this but for some reason M.Never hits the spot for me.
Kam may be an obnoxious high school jock but you can't help but love him, and as for Laney she's a take no crap from anyone chick that at times just needs to take a chill pill.
Absolutely love them together, fantastic story that I have no doubt everyone will enjoy.
FYI: I know authors are always looking to change/use new words to freshen things up, but I come across several that as far as I'm concerned as I reader it would have been better suited without.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, my opinion is this is a 5 star read that you'll have trouble putting down!
