Southwire Romex Brand SIMpull NM-B (nonmetallic-sheathed) cable may be used for both exposed and concealed work in normally dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C (with ampacity limited to that for 60°C conductors) as specified in the 2011 National Electrical Code. NM-B cable is primarily used in residential wiring as branch circuits for outlets, switches, and other loads. NM-B cable may be run in air voids of masonry block or tile walls where such walls are not wet or damp locations. Voltage rating for NM-B cable is 600 volts.

I'm just a home handyman, not an electrical pro, so I can't really compare this to similar products. But it worked well for me. Seems well constructed, individual wires stripped easily and cleanly, and it wasn't hard to split the outer jacket to remove a few inches at the connection ends. I really liked that I didn't have to buy 50 feet when I only needed a few.

Beware, wire snaps inside wall

I bought this wire to extend a power outlet and add another. But this wire is so stiff that it snaps inside the wall when I pushed it inside after hooking up the new outlet. Twice it snapped and blew the main breaker. Not only is it bad it is downright dangerous. I returned it promptly. Glad I could get a refund from Amazon.

Overall, great wire. One thing to note that my electrical inspector could not believe it was 12 gauge. The cable itself has a similar overall size to 14 gauge. It looks like the sheathing is quite a bit thinner with this product. Benefit is that it's easier to pull through walls.
