They all leaked. So disappointing! Every bag lasted about a month. The real bummer about this was that they were stored on closet shelves, and when the seals failed, they bulged up and I couldn't get them off the shelves because they were packed in so tightly. I had to cut the bags open just to get them off the shelf.
I used to use XL Ziploc Big Bag Double Zipper. It was cheap, but it breaks easily, and the heavy duty plastic wasn't durable enough to survive 2 years. Plus, it doesn't make bulky items much smaller because they don't have vacuum technology. Though I tried with all my body parts to press them down as much as possible. The problem was I wanted to keep them in a plastic bin of some sort, but I couldn't find anything that fits. (Yes, I have the largest underbed bins.)
So here come my new Jumbo space bags! At first, I had no idea how to use it. The instructions show pictures of a storage bin, but I didn't know what size of bins I need. I had no idea what size the space bag would shrink into. (-1 star) So I just put in a whole bunch of winter beddings, and vacuumed it without using a bin, and measured the dimensions. It was roughly about 21(W)X15(D)X15(H). I bought sturdy bins measured about 24(W)X16(D)X16(H). Aha! Perfect!
Here's one tip. I found it important to place the vacuum nozzle attachment on the content. It won't work if it touches the opposite side of the plastic. Reshape it alongside of the shape of your choice of bins once a while before it's completely vacummed up. When you are finished vacumming, try to slide the vacuum machine off of the bag the way blue air stopper is lying. (From the side that's attached to the nozzle to the other end.) This will help minimize accidental air leaks.
The only question I have is 'would these be reusable'? I'll find it out next spring/summer. :) See you then.

The Space Bag arrived without the seal slider. It is nearly impossible to seal the bag without it. Very disappointed.Published 13 months ago by chriszyarden
It seems like every space bag I buy gets a tear or hole in it even though I try to be careful. They are great in theory, but I don't think I will be purchasing anymore until they... Read morePublished 17 months ago by Rhianne
