"Henry Mosquera's SPACE FANDANGO: BACKSTABBER'S BLUES is a wild and raucous pulpy adventure, a fusing of Firefly's space opera and Guardians of the Galaxy's self-aware humor. As this motley crew of assassins, thieves, and cyborgs attempt to escort valuable cargo through the universe, they learn that everybody's hiding a secret or two, some of which are deadly. Though the story sometimes suffers from excess--an excess of characters, an excess of references to modern pop culture, an excess of excess--its breakneck pace and sense of undiluted fun make it a thrilling read.
