Hot, funny, fanciful and outrageous. This tongue in cheek (and tongue in lips) tale is as fun as it gets! If this doesn't convince you to wear a foil suit, build a Tesla Coil and learn to play the Theremin, nothing will! If they ever sold passes to hang out inside Tracey DeSanto's brain I'd buy a season ticket. A close second best is reading her delightfully wackadoodle stories like this one.
If you don't need to be told why a high tech super store might play Mars Attacks all day on a big screen, you'll probably be quoting lines to your BF from this book as often as from Galaxy Quest.
A cult classic quickly in the making, this series is one to watch!
And she spews great lines like these to develop characters: "He CAREFULLY didn't shave very often so as to achieve the care-free chin scruff that means you don't care."
Space Girls is designed to be a tongue-in-cheek horny good time, and DeSanto pulls it off just as her fans have come to expect. It's always refreshing to read an author who's smart, charming, witty, and talented, but never takes herself too damn seriously! I highly recommend anything by this talented writer!
My only not-quite-complaint is that it does push the envelope of "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" at times, which might not be to everyone's tastes. The bottom line, though, is that Space Girls! is fun, sexy and good-natured and will make you laugh out loud. It's definitely worth the time and I'm looking forward to future episodes. This series is going to be RED-hot. (Because Mars!)
Add some serious girl-girl and boy-boy fooling around, coupled with a bit of distracted driving (and flying!). What could go wrong?
My only complaint is that the story ends with a major cliffhanger. Please, Tracey DeSanto. Hurry up and write Part Two!
