Bowie was a musical genius. Odd and brilliant at the same time. I lived thru his entire career always looking at him with curiosity, but appreciation too. Bowie took the weird and made it work. He was one of the most clever entertainers (singer/musician) of the late 20th Century and created his own genre, if I dare go that far, and I do.

It is a "feel-good" song. I like songs that look to the future. I have bought several recordings from Amazon and they are all fine. I also like the Amazon on-line music library. It is very convenient. I use it often.

If you're putting together a collection of the best songs of all time, this one has to be on it. In an age where satellite launches and the International Space Station are everyday thoughts, it's hard to see how visionary this song was. Described by Wikipedia as a 'gimmick track', the song stands the test of time. (Despite the fact that the lyrics are pretty sad.)

This is a classic, rock n roll tune that is surreal with the idea of Major Tom floating away to die in the void of space all alone. Very sad tune but extremely good all the same. David Bowie is certainly one of the most underrated Musicians out there in music. I'm a HUGE fan of his Diamond Dogs work and this album is another one that is phenomenal.

My kids loved this son when they heard a version of it on Ben Stiller's movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I bought this for them and they continue to rock out to it as they will.

Listening to this remaster with headphones, you can hear subtleties and buried tracks in the mix that aren't immediately evident when you're just hearing it on the radio.

After our Canadian astronaut sang this in the space station it brought back memories. Had to buy it. Love it.

Classic Bowie. With the passing of David Bowie earlier this year i started going back to his music and rediscovering his immense talent. David Bowie R.I.P.
