My only wish is that it would support higher video resolutions. Lots of fun. unscripted gameplay. Play as merchant, ranger, pirate, and more classes. also many race choices for equipment and ship bonuses.

My experience with this game is that the beginning has a learning curve looks more like a sheer wall. Once you fumble past that and get a few missions under your belt it grows into a really addictive little gem of a game. The space combat, looting and customization are where this game shines. The universe you inhabit feels alive with factions and races that you grow acquainted with and tons of backstory. Once you've stopped sandboxing around and decide to get serious with the game, you find that stopping at planets gives you the option of accepting missions that are the most effective way to progress. These will break down into 3 types: space missions, land missions and text missions.

Space missions are usually enjoyable since space exploration and combat are this game's strengths; deliver this, defend that or find/kill some ship (though occasionally the objectives given to you just cannot happen).

Land missions take you into a whole other game where you command little robot fighters to stop the invading dominators. These missions play out like a spectacularly bad Total Annihilation clone. While the ability to fully customize the units you create is a plus, the AI of your units to react to attacks without your direct intervention is abysmal (only for your units, theirs will move in flawless choreography). And the unit caps imposed on you are mind bogglingly low compared to the number of units you have to leave at a point to repel attacks while your attention is elsewhere. Between the overwhelming odds against you and the poor AI and lackluster interface, land missions stop being fun very quickly and you will likely end up skipping around them as much as you can.

Then there's text missions reminiscent of the commodore 64 era.
