After giving a mediocre review for this item due to receiving the basketball deflated, something unexpected happened. The seller, Competitive Edge Products, sent me a second basketball, fully inflated and completely free, and included a pump and inflation needles. The basketball is very good quality and I can’t say enough about Competitive Edge Product’s customer service. They definitely make sure their customers are completely satisfied with their products.

Ball was delivered deflated in a plastic wrap, not in a box that can be wrapped as a Christmas gift for a disadvantaged child (something my Church does every year). I'm returning it and reordering the same ball and see if I get "lucky". The ball itself is good quality and I've bought them for 4-5 years now, but I can't wrap this deflated wad of rubber.

The ball is lighter than I thought and it also came deflated but I assume it's because It was shipped from a different country and it would burst in the flight otherwise. No leaks and it may be light because I don't have anything to check the 8PSI recommend pressure in the ball. The grip is brilliant and I like the gold letters on Spalding and such. My only complaint is it took 3 weeks to arrive but then again it is shipped from the US and I'm in the UK. Great ball overall.

I haven't been able to try the ball because due to it saying it came inflated and game ready - i didnt buy a pump. I am sure the ball itself is perfectly fine and worthy of a higher rating. However, the add clearly states it comes inflated, and this has caused me to not be able to use this product in the advertised fashion. Please send me a pump, or change the add so that others can just have a chance to purchase a pump along with it.

Edit: changed review to 5 stars because they updated the add to say it comes deflated. I've been using it for a while now, perfectly fine ball, works great.
