A NEW favorite is the SPAM Stuffed Squash. What a delight to take what usually is a bland acorn squash and transform it into this wonderful combination of flavors and textures...including walnuts. Now, with this recipe, I can't wait until the end-of-the-summer motherload of squash to peek out from the garden vines.
I always keep a few of these books on hand for birthday treats and special surprises for friends and co-workers. And, did you know that you can re-use the empty can? It's perfect for cutting out "Aunt Sally Cookies"...remember them?
Then there is the added disappointment in the quality of the recipes. Don't get me wrong. I love spam and know it's not gourmet quality cuisine. But a recipe for a spamburger? Every three year old in the country knows that one. Stick a slab of spam in a bun and add condiments. Or how to add spam to scalloped potatoes, mac and cheese, meatloaf, or fried rice?
I love cookbooks. I collect and read them for fun. There just isn't enough to this one to add it to my collection.

I was surprised to see that the size was like 4x4"! Instead of the gift it was intended to be, it became a stocking stuffer!Published 12 months ago by adrianne hurtig
Disappointed with this book as it's pocket size and not at all what I was expecting.Published 13 months ago by KimW
It was a tiny, paperback "book". Not at all what I expected. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this particular book, especially as a gift.Published on January 28, 2014 by K. OMalley
