The "child-bride" has certainly matured into a strong and joy-filled woman truly blessed with a storybook marriage like the one she grew up in before being whisked away into marriage as a junior high school girl (her father J.W. Brown and mom Lois have enjoyed 70 years of wedded bliss!).
Myra has acquired (the hard way) much wisdom and she shares it freely with us in this wonderful memoir.
This book was not written in bitter revenge or to cash in on anybody's coattails. It is a story of strength and integrity which succeeds marvelously in providing inspiration through the courage and dignity of its author. Bravo Myra!
I have previously read "Great Ball of Fire" by Myra and "Whola Lotta Shakin" by her father;
both books kept me really entertained.
Learned a lot about the life of very talented individuals, witnesses and contributors to the
birth of R & R. Myra been there from the start.
Now very successful business lady, "The Spark That Survived" summed it all.
I definitely recommend this book. Excellent read!!!
I enjoyed reading about Myra's side of the story. She really had a tough time and has survived to tell about it. She now has a very handsome husband who treats her as a queen. It would be an honor to meet her someday.
