I originally purchased these albums 53 or so years ago when I had a crush on Oklahoma's beautiful "Laurie". That old vinyl has survived the years, but this CD encouraged me to listen to the Cassidy-Jones team again after many years. The romance of the musical selections and the chemistry of the artists is enchanting. The first group ("Speaking of Love") is definitely superior because the operetta genre is so well suited to Cassidy and Jones, and leaves you impressed with their respective ranges -- Jones especially is at her very, very best on this recording. If you enjoy these recordings, I recommend two others: the studio cast of "Brigadoon" with Cassidy and Jones, and also "Maggie Flynn" with original broadway cast featuring Cassidy and Jones. Artistically, theirs was a pairing made in music heaven!
I grew up with this album and lost it in the move from my parents home over 30 years ago. It is such a pleasure to be able to listen to such beautiful voices and relive some childhood memories of singing with my sister and mom.
