Product Description

This is an excellent aquarium plant combination to bring life to your aquascape. The plants in this package are all truly aquatic plants that will enhance the biological ecosystem in your aquarium and make your fish happy too! Live aquarium plants helps maintain higher water quality by binding organic waste. Aquarium plants will convert carbon dioxide into oxygen which makes for a healthier environment for your aquarium inhabitants. In addition, aquarium plants will help to prevent excessive algae growth by competing with algae for nutrients. The vast majority fish of species natural habitats' include aquatic plants. They will therefore feel more at home in a planted aquarium. Fish that like their environment are less prone to illness and more prone to be active, display vivid colors and spawn. Additionally, keeping aquarium plants can reduce stress in several ways for your fish. Establishment of territories can decrease the amount of fighting among fish by forming many small territories instead of one big one in the aquarium. Live plants also provide weaker or less aggressive fish suitable hiding spots where they can avoid being bullied. --------------------------------------------------------- The plants shown on the pictures are from our inventory and you will be getting the plants exactly as pictured. All you need is gravel and light for the plants to thrive. There are 10 species of plants. Plants in bunches have 5-7 stem plants that can be separated and planted on their own. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great group of plants!
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 2, 2022
The price for this set is great! I got these along with a crypts set and they are coming along wonderfully in my new 20 gallon tank. Realized that there was lacy java in there so I’ll have to tie it to the wood later. Valisnera hasn’t been doing too hot, but I’ll give them time to recover. Came a week earlier than expected, and even though there wasn’t a heat pack, they came in great condition with little signs of melt.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great deal
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 20, 2018
I've had these for about a week now and they are thriving in my 10 gallon tank. They arrived in pretty good condition and I actually received alot of some of the plants. They come bunched in a metal weight to prevent it from floating. Only two plants, I'm not sure what the names are, looks very yellow in color. In the picture it looks more green so we'll see if it improves in color. The red sword plant (top left corner of picture) I received is all green instead of red. I hope the color will come in soon as I was looking forward to adding a splash of red to the tank. I didnt get the plant that is on the top right of picture but I'm actually really disappointed that I didnt get the bottom left plant in picture that looks like grass. That is something I would have really liked to have received. I received big bunches of certain plants so they were a bit of overkill for my 10 gallon tank but I'm not complaining. I put them all in there and they seem to be doing well. Some plants are already starting to peep out of the top of water

Update after 1.5 month later....
Some plants have melted away but a good amount is still thriving. I just cleaned out my tank and rearranged the plants. I did some trimming to groom them a bit and I think it's looking a lot better. I have attached a current pic of my tank with the plants. I'm actually happier now that there are less plants because it's less cluttered, hence enabling the look of my tank. Still a great deal

Red flame sword - I received 1 stalk and it's thriving. Red leaves are starting to grow in.

Amazon Sword - I received 1 stalk. It's going well and very green.

Anacharis - this one melted away. There are none existing in my tank anymore.

Cryptocoryne - I have 3 of these and they are thriving. They are smaller so I keep them in the front

Moneywort - I have a healthy bunch of these and they are growing strong and peeping out of the top. Might have to trim them soon.

Hornwort - I received a big bunch of this but unfortunately it was browned. I put them in the tank anyway. Since it was a big bunch it was dominating my tank. The "needles" shed allover my substrate and was stuck in my filter. It makes a mess. I often time have to use a fish net to fish them out since I don't have a siphon. It just started growing some healthy green stems so I went ahead and cut off all the brown parts. Hopefully this will reduce the shedding. It looks much better groomed now.

Vallisneria - I love the look of this plant but unfortunately did not receive this.

Rotala Indica - slot melted away but I have trimmed some good parts and kept them. Hopefully it will grow.

Cambomba - I like the look of this and it does not shed. But a lot of it melted away. I might have 2 or 3 short stems left and trying to get it to grow

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok...
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 7, 2021
Plants came a day earlier than scheduled which was fine. I opened the box and found 9 bundles of plants, 2 of which appeared to already be degraded and dying. I planted everything and after a few days the two plants that looked like they were dying were most certainly dead. I reached in to move some of my substrate around and they pretty much discintagrated scattering dead plant matter all over my tank. Additionally I think I would of been better off just going to pet-co and getting what I wanted, ensuring no dead plants going into the tank, and I'm not sure this was any cheaper, after shipping it was almost 50 bucks. I suppose though if you don't consider those two things then this is an ok route to go to get some plants in your tank.

UPDATE 22 July 2021:

Of the 6 remaining plants they are doing well and growing. They make my tank much more attractive and my fish love them. I was under the impression these were supposed to be snail free. That is not the case, I have had snails popping up all over, so that's a bit disappointing but my loach does enjoy eating them at least so there's that.

4.0 out of 5 stars The small plants might not survive shipping, responsive seller, reluctant warranty
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 15, 2021
I think a longer shipping time impacted the plants. They come in an envelope without air-padding, so it ended up crunched up in my mailbox.

The stem plants were fine, and came with plenty to make up for the bit of rot that was in the bag. The finer plants however, came in much smaller bunches and weren’t salvageable. The sword plants seem like they will come out well, but had mostly dead leaves.

I was comforted by the idea of having a warranty in case some of the plants were dead on arrival. After contacting the seller and sending pictures, they told me to wait to see if the plants bounce back. I figure if my initial picture wasn’t convincing enough, then continuing correspondence wouldn’t be either.

Overall, the naturally hardy stem plants will ship well with this seller. Gladly the seller is responsive, but it may take some extra communication & investment to get replacements.

Update 03/16/2021:

Adding a star, going from 3 to 4. Seller offered a partial refund, (accidentally?) issued a full refund.
