I'd say it does an ok job, a little better than my non hospital grade, more portable one.
Noise level: This one is definitely NOT quiet like advertised everywhere so I tend to wake up my husband while using this in the middle of the night. If it's not on a soft surface good luck getting it not to sound like a helicopter landing.
Portability/user friendly: Another con is it only works when plugged in, so if you're alone and you're pumping when baby wakes up, chances are you have to unplug yourself from pumping.
Accessories: The flanges aren't exactly high end like the price point of this pump, and really if you don't hold them in place or use a good nursing bra, they're slipping right off. Suction: if you go between massage and suction mode you can empty the breast but after a while it doesnt suction strongly enough and im having to wipe down and reattach to get the milk out or hand express after use.
And the milk ends up slipping towards the bottom of the cone end, so it's not all getting suctioned in.
Cleaning/maintenance: flanges are not easy to clean right in the middle and the backflow stopper gets wet so make sure you unattached every piece to let it dry out.
Cost effective: the fact that you have to replace the parts every month is definitely not the same experience as other pumps. And the flanges are expensive if you need to buy a different size, which most pumps are not the average size anyway! This was a good price for the actual pump and comes under warranty once registered BUT if I could return this and spend a little more I'd get something without all the cons.
Overall, not worth the money or the hype. I wish I went with something else but I'll try it with better fitting flanges and see if it helps.
I've been using the PISA since my baby was born, and it seemed to work fine. Then I returned to work after twelve weeks. I rented a Symphony to see if it would help me increase my production, but I really didn't notice and difference, so I turned it in after the first month. Over the past couple of months, I've noticed my output decreasing. As my baby started drinking more, I could no longer keep up. I had to start supplementing with formula. Then I remembered someone telling me about the Spectra, so of course I came looking for it on Amazon.
First, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the package included a set of 28mm flanges in addition to the standard 24mm. They still are not quite as comfortable as the Pumpin Pals breast shields I normally use, so I might try the hack and use my Medela connectors with the Pumpin Pals shields. The kit comes with two Spectra bottles, but MAM bottles also work. So far, I'm loving this machine. Both times I used it, I got two ounces more than usual! I normally pump for about 20 minutes and have to cycle from stimulate mode to expression mode several times to keep the milk flowing. With this machine, the flow never stopped. It automatically turns off once the timer reaches 30 minutes, but I turned it back on to see how long the flow would last. I finally stopped after 37 minutes total, but probably could have gotten a lot more milk if I had continued. I only wish I had tried the Spectra sooner, but I got the PISA free through my insurance. Luckily it's super lightweight, so I'll probably carry it back and forth until I buy a second one.
My only only complaint is the angle I need to be at to pump my milk. However, I think that is just a breast pump thing, but I have to lean almost all the way over, and it hurts my back, and it's really hard to feed baby on other breast while I do it.

We only have issue with seller, we wanted spare parts of pump because the bottle isn’t holding the flange tightly, but we were unable to reach seller even after multiple attempts
I use this product every single day. I would suggest this for mother’s who are exclusively pumping. For increasing your milk supply, pump every 3 hours for atleast 20 mins.
About the product,
-It is not very noisy. Might find it tad noisy during nights when the surroundings are usually silent and if your baby is a light sleeper. Mine doesn’t get disturbed.
-It has the expression mode which is great for causing a let-down when you start pumping. I use the expression mode for the first 1:30 mins and then off the mode to automatically take me to my default mode (cycle and vacuum settings) for pumping up to next 20 mins or so.
- The machine stops automatically after 30 mins ( I guess it’s the recommended pumping time by the doctors since this is a hospital grade machine?)
-The light button is handy. It sometimes serves as my night lamp when required 😁.
-The one thing I miss in this product is a holder for my bottles after pumping. As you can see in the picture, I use double pump and I have only one holder provided on the back of the machine. And the base of the spectra bottles are not very helpful sometimes because there is a small hole 🕳 on the flanges neck ( see pic) through which the milk might spill if the bottle falls down accidentally. So be careful about that while placing.
- i once broke a connector cap (see pic) accidentally, so I suggest you keep few accessories extra by ordering it online on Amazon for spectra. (Mostly applicable for exclusively pumping mothers because I and my baby depend on this machine for milk extraction and feeding)
-
Maintenance
- I clean the bottles and the flanges and the rubber connectors (everything that comes in contact with the milk) every 2 days once using some hot water and a bottle cleaning brush and some regular vessel washing detergent.
If you need and more particular information, leave it in the replies to this comment or something, I will try to answer based on my experience and usage.
Thank you Spectra.

Thank you Spectra.
instructions are quite clear, also saw a few youtube videos on it (check out kassi brooke reyes)
works as intended.
my wife can pump with our baby sleeping a metre or two away, so doesnt make much sound.
cleaning is the same as for all the pumps (but dont boil the silicone parts for this pump)
using the pump only at home and we have a manual medela pump which wife will use if she needs to pump at work.
if your budget allows can go for a battery operated one if youre worried of power outtages.
The Duckbill valve is not durable if sterilizing, it gets stretched with frequent use and needs to be replaced after some time. For the first pump, we didn't faced any issue. But for second pump, we faced issue with suction power because of the valve.
Thanks to Aditya Enterprises for their support and services.
