Unfortunately, this is what I found: 1) It is not easy to remove lids without turning the whole device around or removing it from the cabinet. 2) Lids with large top handles catch on other lids, making it difficult to just take out the lid you need without pulling out several lids at one time and/or turning over the whole organizer. 3) Big lids and/or baking tins will not always fit on the top shelf or bottom shelf inside a cabinet without drawers hanging, if setting on top shelf, or without being blocked by the top shelf, if setting on the bottom shelf. 4) The device takes up more space than just stacking multiple lids one on top of the other or staching inside a large roaster pan/pot inside your cabinets. Vertical takes less space than horizontal.
I finally gave up trying to place 4 very large lids inside the organizer and was able to sit two of these organizers on the top shelf of my cabinet without preventing the drawer above the shelf the organizers sit on from hanging on the lids. It takes at least twice as much space as the lids did before when just stacked one on top of the other, but it does look neater and more organized. As a result, I ended up tossing several pots and pans to make room for two of these organizers.
I have not tried the organizer for plates, and it may be better suited for something you don't have to stoop down to add or remove items. It may work better for plastic lids too. My cookie tins and pizza pans are too large to stack in these organizers, find on the bottom shelf inside my cabinets and still be able to close the cabinet drawer.
My objective is to get as many things as I can inside cabinets and not sitting on top of counters or baker's racks, and while I think these organizers would work much better in wide open spaces that are easily accessible, they do not work for me under my counter tops inside my cabinets.
I've only had them for less than a week, and if I find a better way to use them or end up loving them as much as most of the other reviewers do, I will update and change my review.
Overall, I was disappointed using it for a lid organizer for all the above reasons.
