This is exactly what I was looking for in my home office! My desk has some storage but is getting full. I'm currently in school and my textbooks take up a lot of room. Recently they've either been on the floor by my desk or in my backpack. I would put them on my bookself but some of them don't fit well and I like to have them in one place. Keeping them in my backpack isn't great because then they are out of sight! When something is out of sight, I'm not thinking about it! Having them on the floor next to me has been working fine but is a huge eyesore and inconvenient to have to interrupt studying, swivel around, bend over, and dig around for the right book on the floor. I wasn't completely sure how well my textbooks would fit in this basket but it's the perfect size. The color is warm and inviting so I end up noticing my books more often :) and it doesn't take up much space. It works really well and I'm super happy with this purchase.

Perfect for the bathroom

Bought this to go on floating wood plank shelves in the bathroom, great size. It easily holds 4 rolls of toilet paper and still has room in it for some other bathroom necessities. Ended up buying a second for magazines.

Sturdy/strong basket. The chrome looks a bit cheap as it is quite shiny. The hooked pieces at the top have sharp corners. There is a label holder in the front and metal loop at the top (perhaps to secure it)

I uploaded a picture with accurate measurements. Thought it might be helpful.

Top width = 9 1/4" Bottom width = 7 3/8"
Bottom depth = 10 1/2" and Top depth = 12 5/8"
height = 8"

Totally bogus measurements. I bought this to store records in which are about 12 1/2 inches wide. The length measurement on this basket is almost 14 inches so I thought it would be perfect. BOGUS. The basket is 12 inches at its longest point. It measures almost 14 inches because of a lip on the front of it that's right about the slot for a nametag. You can't even see the stupid lip in the stupid picture. I'm sending this back ASAP because of the bogus measurements. I'll probably just go to stupid Walmart to get a basket that I can measure in person since these people don't know how to use a stupid ruler.

Ordered 6 on the 28th, shipped on the 29th, and had them on my wall on the 30th - this was without using Prime!! Besides the fast delivery, I love these baskets and will be ordering several more. I've "installed" them on the wall (using two wood screws) in my office/ work studio to hold mini bolts of felt and large spools of ribbon. Heavy duty, great finish, and lots of storage room.

I could have loved this, but the size is actually smaller than described. If you look at the picture, there is a loop on the front side. What this is for escapes me. It can't be a handle, there is only one, on the front side. Size can be critical if, like me, you are trying to put this in a small chest freezer. Here are the exact dimensions. Outside diameters, view as pictured. from front to rear (minus the loop) 12 1/2 in. with the loop, 13 3/4 in. with the loop. Side to side is 11 9/16 in. The depth is 7 7/8 in. The inside dimensions are. at the top, 11 7/8 in front to rear, side to side is10 15/16 in. these are within 1/32 of an inch. Inside height is 7 7/8 in. If you count the heavier gauge wire that wraps around the top, that adds another 1/16 in. At the bottom, which tapers, as many mentioned, front to rear is 10 1/2 in. side to side is 9 13/16 in. and 7 5/8 from the wire to the top of the heavier gauge wire. I really could have use some thing a bit larger to make better use of the freezer's size. Without an exact set of dimensions one cannot make an informed choice as to which one to purchase. By the way, as someone that answered my question, the grid size is 7/8 in. As far as the appearance it looks good, a satin, nickel look. The wires wrap around the heavier gauge, top support wire and point down which are pretty sharp. They are on the outside of the basket. No big deal, just be aware of it.
