This is a miracle!!! I ordered this for something totally different and ended up using it on a horrible sunburn I got! I'm telling you...in 3......***3*** days my sunburn is gone.....it didn't peel!!!! I'm really pale! I used 100% SPF, but look at the picture I included.. That's a horrible and painful burn. I put this on it, all over it, twice a day, for 3 days and the pain lessoned each time! It did not peel. I might have got a little tan out of the whole thing. Man, I had Noooo idea that this could help such a horrible burn! I used to use Aleo Vera on my burns but it was always sooooooooo cold and never helped. I took a chance with this on my sunburn and omg..... Thank you! That's all I have to say. Oh and I'll be keeping this in stock at my house at all times now!!!

    Previously, I purchased a Spectrum Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil with skin and hair care, with Lavender and Vanilla essential oil already added in. When I purchased this item, it was during the beginning of my "DIY natural products". I purchased that item to make a body cream. When I opened it, I very much disliked the smell. I thought it was because it was unrefined and had a strong coconut smell. Ended up putting it away and not using it and purchased refined coconut oil. A few months later, I was running out of my DIY face cream and my husband suggested I just use the coconut oil as my face cream (the one I put away) until I could get to the store. So I decided to do this (only because I have another friend who only uses unrefined CO as her face cream and swears by it). I ended loving how it felt and absorbed in the skin, so I put up with the smell. haha I ended up getting use to the smell but not loving it. When I began to run out, I searched all over trying to find it again and couldn't, not even online. I ended up reading the container and it stated it was a "Whole Foods Exclusive", so unless I wanted to drive an hour to a Whole Foods store again, I would have to use something else. I ended up ordering this item- "Unrefined Coconut Oil perfect for skin and hair care" because it was the same brand and everything without the lavender and vanilla. I thought for sure I would hate the smell not having any essential oil to hinder the natural smell but I figured I would just add my essential oils to it. Well I was pleasantly surprised when the item arrived. As soon as I opened it, I LOVED the rich, natural essence of the coconut. It had such a natural tropical smell. So all along, it wasn't that I disliked the natural/unrefined smell, I dislike the added lavender and vanilla to the unrefined. I never thought of that because lavender is my favorite oil and vanilla one of my favorite candle scents. I've been using it ever since as a daily whole body lotion. I haven't added any essential oils too it.

    If you've never used coconut oil as a lotion before, it does take some getting use too but the after result is amazing. First off, a little goes a long way. So it last a long time. When you first put it on, it does feel oily and appear shiny on the skin but give it a few minutes and it soaks right into the skin. However, if you put too much, it can still remain feeling oily on your skin when you rub it. I just apply a really small amount and if more is needed on dry areas then I add a little bit more after it has time to soak in.

    I will definitely purchase this item again! Top quality, rich scent, smooth and creamy oil, fresh product coloring. Maybe next time, I'll add the essential oils! :)

    I've ordered this like 3 times in the span of a few months and I cant get enough of it. After my last order, I told myself I had to spread this good news to others.
    My teeth are entirely grateful for this. I had some real tooth cavity. And even after filling, I was in pain but was told to give it a couple of weeks, especially since that was my first and only dental work, so I researched methods to follow a healthy oral routine because I didn't want to have to experience that kind of pain ever again, Oil pulling was one of them, so between my flosser, electric toothbrush with sanitizer and this heaven-sent coconut oil, my teeth have known peace. I pull every morning, swish the oil around for 10 to 20 minutes depending on how much time i have, the swished oil is usually hot and milky white by the time I'm done, and then I spit it out in a bag and into the trash can because it can clog the pipes.
    I've had no issues since my filling, my hygienist thinks my gums are more healthy, my breath is so clean and I am so happy. My oral hygiene has never been better I tell you!
    I also use it for my hair and skin; great moisturizer I must say, seals in all moisture and I have had no side effects whatsoever. I also use it as a matte/waterproof-lipstick remover. I haven't been able to bring myself to use it as a face makeup remover, even though I know it works effectively. That'll be too greasy for me.
    It seems lighter than in the past, my first order of this was in 2013, I bought that one from whole foods but ever since then, I've been ordering from amazon. Back then, it was more solid than now, and the coconut smell is also much more stronger than in the past. I also noticed they changed their packaging a couple of times. I don't use this for cooking, hence I can't speak on that.
