I purchased this through Amazon Fresh thinking I can add this to my coffee. Nowhere in the packaging does it say it is edible. It also does not say inedible. Just spoke with the Seller and I was advised not to consume this. Too late! Beware! Amazon should change the product description so that people don’t purchase this for consumption by mistake!. It also has strong roasted odor.

This is the best coconut oil I have ever purchased. It smells beyond yummy and a little goes a long way. I have permed hair and it is time for my relaxer. I must say my roots are so thick that I can barely comb through my hair. I put some coconut oil in a glass jar and allowed it to heat up in some boiling water. I then sectioned my hair into 4 sections and worked oil from root to ends. I put a plastic bag on my hair as well as a bonnet and slept with oil in my hair. The next day I washed oil out with a Sulfate-free shampoo and my hair looks as if I got my relaxer. My hair is soooooo soft and manageable! I highly recommend this oil and will be buying again.

I've been using this for a couple months now for hair and body. My skin is so soft and moisturized. I put it on cuts or any abrasions and it helps heal. Also on bruises! I had a bruise and put it on 3 times a day and I couldn't believe how fast it went away compared to how long it usually takes my bruises to heal. It's helping my newly graying hair to look much better. Not so dry and brittle. Use VERY little on hair! I've also been putting it on my little mouse who is suffering from itchy skin. This stuff is just amazing.

I wish I could give 0 stars. This coconut oil is clearly spoiled by the looks and smell. I usually get this same exact item from Whole Foods but I saw it cheaper up here.. when I buy it from whole foods it’s NEVER YELLOW OR SMELLS LIKE BURNT COCONUT. I’m upset I wasted my time And money!!!!! I reached out last week about this issue and I didn’t get any response.

This product appears to have been spoiled. It has an odor that is unpleasant and is dark colored, unlike any other coconut oil of this brand or any other I've purchased. The first item I received was damaged in shipment and had a cracked lid. The replacement that I recieved appears to be spoiled. I just want a refund at this point. And I can't return this item, which is spoiled. I have always liked this brand and had no issues so I'm very disappointed.

I love this for hair and skin care! I did not realize until recently that there was refined and unrefined coconut oils. I was using refined before and they are quite different. The refined was more of a solid, and clumpy when I applied it. It had no scent. I was surprised when I got this one by how different it was. The texture is very soft and applies much easier to the skin. I use it as a body moisturizer and also as a hair mask. The smell is strong and took me a minute to get used to. It doesn't smell like coconut at all..... it kind of smells like an oatmeal cookie? I like the smell now that it reminds me of cookies. I would repurchase this.

I love the fact that this coconut oil hasn't been bleached to give it a snow white color. Most organic coconut oil is bleached unfortunately; and because there's a mentality if it isn't white it cannot be right within the coconut oil buying community, people falsely assume it's rancid or something is wrong. Most people don't know what natural cold pressed coconut oil looks like. Whole Foods 365 organic unrefined coconut oil has the same hue as the spectrum coconut oil. The manufacturers don't have to state the oil has been bleached for aesthetic reasons. This coconut oil is off white and slightly beige. In the past I've used the snow white coconut oil from other companies with minimal health results. I use this in my coffee everyday and I also bake with it. Again, this is my personal preference. Because it's one of the few organic coconut oil brands that doesn't bleach it's oil, I put it on my subscribe and save.

This does have a very strong odor that's not quite like a coconut, I can't quite identify the smell. Anyway, it works great on rough patches of skin like elbows and feet. I've even used it as a deep conditioner for my hair. I can live with the aroma.
